Thor and Amaterasu descend into Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Marvel.com seems to have accidentally revealed two more Marvel vs. Capcom 3 characters ahead of time. Character art and screenshots depicting Thor and Okami's Amaterasu appeared in Marvel.com's gallery for the game, though it seems to have been taken down since.

However, because sites like Omega-Level saved the images, and because you can see one in this very post, and because the Thor character art remains in Marvel's gallery at this moment, it doesn't really take much faith to believe in these two gods. We'll probably learn more details during tomorrow's MvC3 Comic-Con panel.

@rodre1 No it wasn't. It's been wrong ever since they confirmed no FF characters where gonna be in.

Theres only 1 character I want revealed for mvc3, and that's Albert wesker. he'd fit in the game perfectly with his super powers and what not. With DMC having 2 characters in the game I still hold hope for him, resident evil is capcoms biggest franchise last I recall and a character like trish is a lot less known then wesker.

RE is Capcom's biggest franchise? Bigger than Megaman? Street Fighter? Devil May Cry?
Maybe bigger than DMC money-wise, but it can't possibly outweigh Megaman and SF in quality or profit.

Other than that, I agree that I expected (and wanted) Wesker in, more than Trish.

Nice Thor and Amaterasu would be some nice combos, I hope they put in megaman x and Vergil from dmc 3 and protoman.

As long as Thor doesn't have that terrible voice from Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

I love both of these characters, WIN! AMATERASU NERDGASM!

Thor should've been obvious given that he's got a movie coming out soon enough and isn't totally lame like Ant Man. Amaterasu makes for a nice surprise though. Throwing a quadruped into the mix will hopefully make for some unique stuff.
