Watch the James Bond 007: Blood Stone opening credits
44
With Bond 23 canceled, Activision's James Bond 007: Blood Stone may be your only dose of Bond for some time. It's a good thing they're going all out with the production then, with Daniel Craig in the starring role (sorry, EastEnder) and siren Joss Stone stepping into the appropriately fancy shoes of Bond Girl. You can hear her pipes in the non-titular title song "I'll Take it All" in the trailer here, and see her doing her best Bond Girl impersonation in the gallery below.

Why is this like, 15 frames per second?
Okay, I will stop with the "rar" thing for a little bit T_T.

Speaking of the canceled film, MGM really needs to sell off the rights to Bond and the Hobbit if they can't even get the money together to make them. It sucks that two major franchises are basically stuck in limbo, and losing major cast members and directors left and right because of it.

@Funnydale Agreed. Those parts looked pretty bad. It was looking good at first then when down hill from there. Too many stones and other various events and too little women.

Although, it feels like the Bond series is passing me by it's cool to see another generation of Bond fans and even cooler to see the series tell new stories in a whole new medium.

Although I personally didn't care too much for the opening sequence (it was alright, but to me not really unique enough), I thought the choice of song was excellent. Surely better then some of the Bond tracks that have been used for the official movies.

Everyone saying negative things about this have clearly forgotten one thing - it's developer is easily the best studio in the world. The company and its staff are responsible for some of the finest driving and shooting games ever created and their last release (Blur) is probably the best multiplayer game on Xbox 360.

I would hardly call "The Club" one of the top shooters. The PGR series was very good and Geometry Wars is one of the best XBLA games. They are a good studio and I am sure they could make more excellent games, but I feel they are going to be used by Activision to shovel out mediocre liscensed titles rather than being allowed to work on their own stuff

For a game that is coming out this year it looks pretty raw. Although I feel like I've seen mention of the game being in Alpha format still.
However I have heard a lot of good things about the gameplay, so hopefully with that good foundation they can build some decent graphics around it.

Very good song, but the video doesn't seem to compliment it.
Looks like they have tried to emulate the theme video from Casino Royale with the silouettes fighting and falling apart into diamonds, were in Casino they fall as the card suit symbols. Seeing as the Craig is the Bond in this game I suppose keeping it in the same style is acceptable, but I personally think that song deserved a better video.

Wow, that's far worse than I imagined it would be. I hope it doesn't at all reflect the quality of the game.

Great Intro. Yeah the CGI's not all that great, but I got a really authentic bond feel from that intro. Good stuff.

Overall, I think it's a good opening credits. The song is great, IMO, but there are two things that really stick out: (1) James Bond doesn't kick people where the sun don't shine and (2) there is no trademark "Bond shoots at viewer, weird focusy-thing focuses in, blood pours down" scene at the end. Again, while I think the opening cinematic is great, these two things MUST be addressed. They sound trivial, but Ian Flemming (and true Bond fans) would not approve.

Not a bad opening, but hardly one of Bond's best. I like the crotch-shot, though.

It felt like a rip off of the Casino Royale opening...replace the diamonds with the cards and what not and boom. I guess this is better than nothing.

There are thousands of unemployed film students who would make a better opening sequence for a coffee and some pringles. Whoever was in charge of making should probably reconsider their career.

That was awful!!! Sorry Bizarre Creations, but so far the best intro in a bond game was for EVERYTHING OR NOTHING: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oQY71VB9OU

I liked the song, but was disappointed with the video. Yes, Bizarre, we know that you make car games, but that's not what guys want to see featured in a Bond credits sequence. Also, the whole "defeated-bad-guys-explode-into-diamonds" schtick is far too derivative of the "defeated-bad-guys-explode-into-playing-card-suits" effect from the "Casino Royale" intro.
I'm still very interested in this game, of course, but I don't think your did yourself any favors by releasing this, Bizarre.
