2. Add in scenery from other games
3. ???
4. Profit!

Christ, Konami.

I even bought the steaming turd that was Judgment, but I refuse to even acknowledge this. Is this IGA's doing? IS IT?

Hideo Kojima, Dave Cox, please save this series...

Out of curiosity, when was the last time Konami drew a sprite for Castlevania? I mean, I love the variants on the basic idea. And I can understand leveraging existing resources to develop games that otherwise wouldn't be affordable. But can we get something fresh? Every 2D Castlevania that hasn't been SotN has taken substantial resources from it. Even the one released this summer seems to use entirely sprites from SotN. We've had a SotN release every year since 2007.

Not to sound too grumpy, but there must be artists chomping at the bit to get their hands dirty with Castlevania. Can we get some major redraws for the next outing, please?

@seishino
The funny part is that a lot of SotN's sprites were actually borrowed from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, so even SotN wasn't totally original.

Am I the only one envisioning some hungover japanese guy coming into work, taping castlevania characters over puzzle fighter ones, and then walking into a boardroom? In your vision, is everyone... naked? Shhh, don't answer just think about it.

How is a Castlevania fighting game considered bizarre? It'd not considered as a great game, buts a decent game. I enjoyed Judgment myself.

@TheMysticalNinja

At least SSPFIIT had new sprites created just for the game.

@Brother Unit No 4

But Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night offers more in content. Well at least it looks like it does. I'll get back to you on that when I purchase it :)
