Gears of War 3 producer wants Carmine dead
46
Rod Fergusson is the executive producer of Gears of War 3, and he wants Clayton Carmine to die. He wore a "Carmine Must Die" t-shirt at Microsoft's Comic-Con party last night, casting his vote for the fate of the third Carmine brother, but he's willing to leave the decision up to the fans: "They kept saying, 'How can you be so mean,' and 'What about Mrs. Carmine,' and 'What's that like [losing her sons]' -- all this stuff," he told us at the event. "And so we're like, let's just question them and see what they want."
Fergusson also shared a few development updates, relaying the most difficult part about designing the new Beast Mode: getting all of the playable beasts to control as solidly as Gears and Locust characters. "Just making sure the camera works from a Ticker to a Serapede to a Berserker," he explained, "just refining the technical ways of making people feel like they have control and that they're grounded in the character." It's not so much about balancing the beasts, though -- Epic wants these creatures to feel powerful, so "even if it's overbalanced a little towards the monsters, that's cool. We want to make players feel successful."
Thankfully, some development components have gone down smooth. "Ice-T is kicking it as Griffin," Fergusson reconfirmed. "We recorded it this week remote from New York ... Ice is doing a great, great job -- we wanted him to be him somewhat, but he's just bringing that character to life for us. It's really fun working with him on that stuff."

Saving Private Carmine DLC expansion. I am not even joking, a couple of levels where you play as some Gear who is tasked with getting this guy back safely to momma Carmine after the tragic deaths of all of his other brothers.

If they have a reason to kill him off - like, introduce a new, better character - then go ahead, kill Carmine III.
But the new character - if it is a new character - better not be anywhere as annoying as Cole.

That'd be a bummer if they kill him off. Then the family is more of a joke and less of a family.

Who cares about Carmine dying, Baird is the one that needs to go. So disappointed that he survived Gears 2.

I've never bought anything for my Avatar cause I think it stupid to spend good money on something people MAY look at for more than 5 secs, but I'll make an exception in this case "Save Carmine, Save the World".

If they kill Carmine, they need to bring mama into the story. She needs to be big burly and mean. Curlers are optional.
She needs to come strapped to the teeth with weapons and out for blood and revenge. Some funny lines as she goes charging into overwhelming areas are a must. Then she decimates all comers no matter how many try to overwhelm her.
Throughout the game, the horde learn to fear her and you get scenes of her showing up in places away from your battle and you can see the horde running away from her.
Another scene where a horde beastie of some sort sniffs a piece of cloth that is obviously ripped off her moo-moo drives the beast insane with fear and he pisses himself and runs away.
She doesn't need to help the main characters as much as she just needs to show up and provide some comic relief in the background and cutscenes.
Otherwise, let Carmine live for once damn it.

EVERYONE:
Don't pay attention to this. If Rod Fergusson really wanted Carmine dead then he wouldn't have worn the "Save Carmine" shirt today:

I think that this is just a cheap way to earn additional revenue through the shirt sales (real & virtual).
If they really wanted complete community feedback, they would have simply placed a poll on their website. Instead, they pull a gimmick which requires people to pay-for-a-vote.
No thanks. And honest, who cares if the next one lives or dies? If they do or don't its not like it is going to change my enjoyment of the game. I don't exactly play GoW series for the characters' personalities; I play to shoot and blow up strange beings who like to kill humans.
