Sailing the open sea with Etrian Odyssey 3

I'm in a boat!

I recently picked up the first version of this game and was pleasantly surprised by it.

This one looks equally interesting. Maybe after the holidays tho. 4th quarter is looking pretty crowded already for games.

I liked the Etrian Odyssey games. Lil' stiff (the world conveniently breaks down into squared-grids? Sweet!), but still an enjoyable sense of adventure and exploration.

But still, nothing has held a candle to the Dark Spire. So fun AND retro!
