Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions' other costumes revealed

You didn't think that Peter Parker's wardrobe would only contain four outfits in his upcoming outing, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, did you? No, no sir. Revealed during Marvel's Comic-Con panel were a handful of new costumes that will be unlockable in-game -- a few of which will be instantly unlockable as pre-order bonuses from select retailers:

Scarlet Spider (unlock code included with Kmart pre-order)
Negative Zone Spider-Man (unlock code included with Best Buy pre-order)
Spider-Armor (pictured)
Mangaverse Spider-Man

Additionally, the previously revealed GameStop-exclusive Cosmic costume (which includes variants for each dimension) and the Iron Spider-Man suit featured in the 2099 universe (and immediately unlockable with an Amazon pre-order) were also shown at the panel. It's as yet unclear if the newly announced costumes will be tied to certain dimensions within the game or wearable throughout, like the Cosmic getup.

After Web Of Shadows i lost faith in my favorite super hero. But after seeing Ultimate spidey making a return in this game, I'm psyched.

If they ever go open world again, they need to ditch the SM2 engine which they are still using.

Guh? Sure the story and voice actors were weak but the gameplay was awesome! Without a doubt the best combat in a Spider-Man game.

@NaeemTHM it was good if you handn't played SM2, SM3, ULTIMATE SM.

They all played so similarly. You could tell they just rehashed the same mechanics and altered the combat slightly. It was fun, but it wasn't a massive improvement in the Spider Man game franchise.

I've played all the Spider-Man games and USM is probably my favorite one overall. I didn't like the swinging mechanics as much as I did in SM2, but it had an AWESOME story and it was just fun running around as one of my favorite versions of Spider-Man.

I'm not saying Web of Shadows was great, but it took the combat in the right direction. The way Spidey zipped around in WoS is exactly how it should have been since the beginning.

I have yet to play Web of Shadows. I've been too busy kicking ass.

This is like the third time this armor has made an appearance in a Spider-Man game yet it's only been featured in THIS issue. Strange that it's so popular.

I never heard of the "Mangaverse" spiderman, but upon hearing about it I immediately searched for a Mangaverse version of Deadpool, but couldn't find anything...

God I hate this preorder shit, I really hope that all of the costumes come in the game.

There are 3 reasons why I downvoted this

They'll probably release the costumes later as DLC, one by one, for like $3 a pop. If you don't like that, then vote with your wallets - it's the only language they understand.

Not like gamers needed any more of a reason to pre-order their games from Amazon. I can't decide if I want to buy this game, it looks great but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Ahhh, this is all very exciting, just like all of the costumes in the ps1 games :)

The comic book featured in the picture is pretty much the only one I own at this point so its cool to see it in a game.

I hate store exclusive pre-order stuff like this, especially since only amazon exists in the EU. I hope the other ones are either unlockable or DLC later on.

It's almost guaranteed they will: It's just sad that we would have to expect it to be DLC when it seems it was easy for them to make it exclusive for each company.

If the companies want exclusive stuff they should just either make deals (much like the typical $10 gift cards that Target does) or get DLC that advertises their companies (maybe "Kmart employee Spider Man" and "the Walmart heist mission").

Maybe not, The golden lancer and hammerburst are still not on the marketplace.
