Finally, a game in which Makoto isn't horrible.

Also, I hope the parry window is pretty large for online play.

@WiNGSPANTT from TopTierTacticsco

Makoto being good is really the only reason I'm at all interested in this game.

(I may have skipped from SF2 to 4, don't tell anybody)

@Strider TomTom Fighting games are back in style!
After a like....
10 year hiatus, they're back to rock our socks.

And who thinks Street Fighter III is better than Street Fighter 4?
Because I thought so.
Not saying that SF4 is a bad game, it's amazing, but SF3 captured my heart.

Put this game to rest please.

There's a reason it was axed from the EVO lineup this year, it has 0 hype.

If any game needs to be put to rest, it's Street Fighter II. That game had a bazillion releases. 3rd Strike is still the best SF game and deserves a comeback.

Am I the only one that thinks Capcom is making a mistake by diluting the importance of individual fighting games? Why make the same mistake they did 10 years ago when fighting games seemed to come out every 3-4 months.

Luckily there isn't much competition left to make the situation any worse, but I am satisfied knowing that SF4, MvC2, BlazBlue, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, KoF13, and Tatsunoco v Capcom are currently playable. Until then I can wait for MvC3, and I don't need anything else.

I really hope Alpha 3 and Vampire Savior are next. Seeing as how the PlayStation Store has entries for Third Strike, Alpha 3, and DarkStalkers for the sole purpose of premium avatars, would be nice if all three had games attached to them as well.

I really want some sort of DarkStalkers HD remix. I'm fairly sure capcome will never ever make an actual sequal, and I kind of prefer the old school anime art style anyway. This was my favorite of their fighting games and it's been all but ignored for so long.

Bitchin'. This game is probably my favorite traditional fighter, so I may well get it when it eventually comes out.

I wanted to get into Street Fighter 3 TS, so I rented the PS2 Anniversary Edition from Gamefly. I was really disappointed to find out that my fightstick didn't work on it, and the controls were a little awkward on gamepad. Will this Online version be the same thing? Will they add any enhancements to it?

@(Unverified) Yeah. The Madcatz sticks (and some others) don't work on PS2 games. As long as the game is a PS3 game, your PS3 stick will work.

And I had the same heartbreak of buying the anniversary collection without knowing it wouldn't work, too.

I hope the PS3 version doesn't require a connection to the internet to start a game, like the did with Final Fight. If it does, i might have to pass on it.

I know a lot of Third Strike lovers wouldn't like the idea at first, but I think they should tweak a few characters a tiny bit. I don't play on GGPO because I don't have Windows, but I'm guessing the majority of people there still use Chun-Li, Yun, and Ken.

Personally, I'm not interested in a perfect port. (I have the Anniversary Collection for that.) I have no intention of buying a game I already have unless they make something different to justify my purchase.

I will be interested in seeing what Capcom can do to address 3'rd Strike's balance issues. After all, Capcom is one of the few vintage game companies that still hasn't lost their edge. A remixed version would be nice, perhaps they could include an option to play the original CPS3 version, but I'd like something more than a game I own already.

Obviously the main thing here would be the online support, voice chat support, lobbies/quarter match mode... These features would be very, very nice.

They should also add the battle animations from New Generation and 2nd Impact, like when you fought Yun he flew in on his skateboard.

Altho this is very cool, I would much rather get Alpha 3. It's the only alpha I never played (for some reason I never picked it up for my DC). I did have SFIII.3 tho and it never really grabbed me.

I'm not ashamed to say, a little bit of wee came out when I read that headline.....Blowing the dust of my old Xbox/DC for a bit of parry training.

PS Note to Capcom! turn the dial down on YUN,KEN and CHUNNERS. TA!
