Well its in my opinion that since Nintendo, and Sony are both Japanese companies, Japanese people prefer to buy them...

Its how it works over here, so why not over there?

I've honestly been surprised at the new Xbox's ability to move units so far, but i'm more focused on functionality. Aside from Wi-Fi, the new 360 offers nothing on that front aside from increased Kinect functionality, but that doesn't come into effect for a while

I must underestimate the pure appeal of new hardware, but the surge of purchases of multiple versions of the same handheld perplexes me too

Noise matters to some people. Less-than-fighter-jet noise might actually be the feature that convinces me to buy an xbox. Still, wasn't there a story the other day either here or on Engadget that the xbox's sales spile was driven by the old model being dicounted?

I believe the saying goes: "You can polish a turd..."

Yeah, just because a new Xbox is released doesn't mean the Japanese consumer will instantly care. Unless you include Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy or some sort then maybe sales will go up for Xbox.

@WINterfang true but it's still a poorly made system. so the 'you can't polish a turd' saying stands true in this case.

I like to read Griffin's post with Katamari Damacy's King of All Cosmos' theme playing in the background.

His posts remind me of the King's randomness.

There are very few people I know who like Marmaduke.

It's still better than Mallard Fillmore, however.

Well, it could be both. First off, ▲ and ▼are easier to see than ↑ and ↓. And then CSS (or HTML, whatever) could be used to color them green/red.

They also have it advertised on London buses at the moment. Absolutely crazy deal. But I guess this is their way to battle piracy.
