This is ironic. BioWare is helping another studio with RPG development when their own games are becoming less and less RPG-like (see ME2 [yes, it was less of an RPG than the first one, so no arguing there, but still a great game] and DA2).

oh jesus my favorite game company as a kid (I could play SimAnt for weeks with no rest) and my favorite game company now...together...

i think this should happen more- it's like an executive chef opening a bistro with a pastry guru. kinda like how pixar is helping consult on other projects now...

Man - I still have yet to play Spore. At least this - what... spin-off? - shows that Maxis is dedicated to see the IP succeed.

I personally miss their magic touch to The Sims series... but at least The Sims 3 has flourished through change of hands and perspective.
