ESRB lists Fatal Labyrinth for PS3 and Xbox 360

The early Sega Genesis roguelike Fatal Labyrinth was released on PC download services last week, but Sega doesn't appear to be done re-releasing it yet. The ESRB listing for the game shows, in addition to its existing PC and Wii (Virtual Console) releases, plans for Mac, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

Fatal Labyrinth is actually already available on PS3 and Xbox, as part of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, but a separate ESRB listing for those platforms suggests a standalone downloadable release, like those given to games like Gunstar Heroes, Sonic & Knuckles, and Phantasy Star II. Good news for those of you who don't want to spend around twenty dollars for the fantastic deal that is the Ultimate Genesis Collection.

For Roguelike fans, the game is actually pretty fun. It's streamlined, which is kind of nice.

But I have the Genesis collection... Paying even $2 for this by itself seems kind of stupid.

This game is ok for being included on the Ultimate Genesis Collection, but I wouldn't ever purchase it seperately, that's for sure. If there is one game that can make me go gorilla-aggro, it's this one.

@MystileArmor I'd love to see it as a cheap PSP Mini, personally.

I would much rather have the other 3 Phantasy Stars.. even if they are on the Mega Drive collection disc..
Disappointed too that Fatal Labyrinth doesn't have a single David Bowie appearance..

Wake me up when there's some new tidbits about ToeJam & Earl coming to XBLA/PSN. (C'mon, SEGA, resolve the rights issues!)

Pretty fun game, but I already have it on Genesis, so its a no go for me.

If they up the pixel count(or redo the graphics entirely), add real 16:9 support, and game specific trophies, they might get $5 out of me.

If it's just a straight rip from the SSG Collection, I'll have to pass.

But it is probably a Mini so people can play it on the PSP. That's pretty sweet since those with only a PSP would be able to play it on the go.

So does it mean we'll see more Sega Genesis games on PSN? I know we have Gunstar Heroes with trophies so maybe this will have trophies?

Once again Sega whoring out the same Genesis games again and again.

really? this game wasn't bad, but out of all the sega rpgs they want to release separately, they pick this one?

i mean c'mon, they could have picked shining force. or shining force. or hell, they could've even gone with shining force! i wouldn't really mind shining force, either. and a lot of fond memories from playing shining force, too.

Are they going to make the trophies insanely stupidly hard to get? That's going to be pretty fun when the trophy whores come a knockin.

I'm not a huge Genesis fan, not to spark a war or anything, but I got the Genesis collection that came out a year or so ago with like 40 Genesis games on it, and I think I played this game the most on the disc. It's a well designed Roguelike

What? The Genesis Collection worth $20? Puh!

What kind of.. emulator maker thinks forcing people to unlock things is a good way to do stuff?

Also, games are old. VC is overpriced. Long live the random old men. If you start selling these things for 99 cents, then I'll send my agent over before we even consider talking mano-a-hedgehog.
