Yea, I have had it since the Netflix disc was first released, but my buddy didnt have it so he called Netflix. It turned out that it was a beta that you got into at random. When he asked to be put in they told him that we would have to cancel and signup again and hope he got in.
A few weeks the search did go down for a few days then came back and looked different, like it does now. That must be when they turned it on for everyone.

It's been on there since early last week, for me.

But I prefer streaming through my new 360.

I really don't get why the 360 version can't be updated independent of a huge dashboard update. Other than MS being stubborn.

@Viglin Not laying blame, but shouldn't a search tool be apart of the app if the app has a lot of content?

Still gonna use my 360. No way I'm I going to wear my PS3 drive out watching as much Netflix as I do. I don't know why the disc has to spin while streaming anyway. Oh well, at least I have hulu plus on my PS3.

Xbox needs to make Netflix available for Silver accounts too.
Its free to use on all the other devices, accept for the Netflix fee itself of course.

@Poorwiggy; Seriously. Just get rid of the extra features like being able to watch it with people online, that should be the only Gold incentive with Netflix ... though I honestly can't think of any reason why someone would want to use it.

I hope that they get rid of the disc soon. How hard is it to put some thing that is already written for PS3 on a app (thy already do that for games). I suspect it is related to Microsoft's silver light usage agreement).

Come on Netflix get it together.

Almost daily on Nicktoons Network, actually. It seemed like a juvenile show when it first came out, but it really grew on me.

It's also funny when it's the reverse. ie saying switching discs SUCKS SO BAD but yet it's no problem popping in and out the Netflix disc.

I have never felt inconvenienced on my PS3 or Xbox about changing a disc, personally.

I noticed this the other day. Up until now I've been using my 360 for Netflix, but the inevitable happened and my 360 finally died (E74 error). So now that that's off to get repaired, I popped in the PS3 disc and was surprised to see the new feature. I like that it shows you suggestions if the movie you're looking for isn't available for instant view, very nice!

This is stellar! I don't know what Netflix was thinking to have their console audience browse through a poorly organized, hodgepodge of movies and TV shows.

Looking forward to the 360's November update.

Well I hope when it's integrated they give the app a better interface that feels like you're on the PS3 and not like what's on that little set top Netflix box they have out.

I liked it. If you go in not expecting some kind of perfect retelling of the first season in about two hours, you'll be fine.

I'm not about to tell anyone what they do or don't like... but personally I would hate to have my TV flashing back and forth between resolutions while on the same input.
I personally find scaling within a set resolution (the tv's native, if possible) to be the more elegant solution.

I've had this option since late March, But it's very random because my friend has had his Netflix as long as I have and he didn't get the search option until last month. Weird. Apparently I should have been rubbing it in peoples faces for months. :)
