Warhammer 40K: Space Marine also storming PCs next year

A THQ press release has announced that upcoming third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, formerly slated to land only on the PS3 and 360, will also arrive on the PC when the game launches early next year.

We'd worry about PC gamers getting this particular installment in the franchise confused with all the other Warhammer titles currently available on their platform. However, considering this one has you mowing down wave after wave of orcs using novelty-sized guns and swords, rather than ... doing strategy game stuff, we don't think you guys will have any problem seeing the distinction.

After seeing what they did with Dawn Of War 2, this will definitely suck.

They made Dawn of War II too boring and glacially paced, what they called making it "tactical" really just meant making all of the units move at a maximum of 3 mph.

That's not going to be a problem with a fast paced action shooter.

As long as this has 4 player co-op it should kick ass.

Arg, why must the forces of the warp make me wait for this Imperial truth! I need to cleanse the universe of some dirty greenskins!

So, first they let me control an entire army of space marines.

Then they let me control 4-5, depending of the situation.

Then they tell me I can control just one marine.

This might seem like a bad thing, but it proves just how overpowered the marines are if I can cause as much destruction with my one-man army.

im just glad to learn the release window

It was kind of under the radar. IIRC, it was just a title on a THQ timeline originally then had some slow news.

I cant wait. I hope this game will be amazing.
