Sweet, some Street Fighter 10 talk? Oh wait, sorry, Street Fighter Ex... no, Cross? I'm so confused. I hope you chaps can clear this up. I blame Final Fantasy. Or the Romans. Anyway, glad this is up - my day at the office just became a tad more insightful. Cheers guys!

I expect to see a lot of discounts on Kinect because it ain't gonna sell well at $150. A price drop in early '11 is sure to follow. Any predictions on how many units Kinect will sell in its first month? 10K? 100K? 500K?

@NBA Kirkland I think it's going to do fine, honestly.

We hardcore forget, Kinect isn't really for us. It's for.. everyone else. =P

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze Good point, but at $150 is this really a purchase casual gamers will make? I suppose the $300 new arcade bundle with Kinect has some appeal to people new to Xbox but a Wii is at least $100 less.
I think we'll see a BIG marketing push for Kinect from MS this fall/holiday. They've got to, right?

@NBA Kirkland Yeah, definitely.

If it's one thing Microsoft is good at, and isn't afraid to do, it's marketing its big products.

Alexander, RDR tracks how close you are to collecting all the flowers, but it certainly doesn't do it efficiently. They simply present you with a bar that represents your completion %. Your best chance is to use a checklist and Survival Maps. I agree that the Level 10 Ambient challenges are a pain, plus they tie into the 100% achievements.

Richard, sorry I didn't believe you at first abut the secret eggs.

@Reddjoey It does more than that. If you press Y while looking at an individual ambient challenge it will tell you how much of each item you've collected. So for instance with Survivalist 10 it'll tell you that you've collect 2 Wild Feverlew, 0 Red Sage, 1 Poppy Thingamajigger, etc.

For Sharpshooter 10, see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aD9yv6UKfws

Guys, you slag it off, but if there was an actual licensed and branded NICK ARCADE game simulating the old TV show, I would be completely over the moon for Kinect. First day buy. (Maybe that's just the nostalgia talking...)

As it is, nothing that seems compelling enough to throw down the cash yet

hi guys,

Just finished listening to the podcast. I wanted to drop a link for Walmart, I did the pre order for kinect, and got dance central, a $30.00 gift card, plus kinect adventures for $199.99 with $.97 shipping.

hope it helps change your minds about getting connect day 1.

The Kinect discussion seemed to come from a limited prospective. Despite the tie ratios the Wii does sell more software than the 360. And just because they did not announce the 250 gig bundle for Kinect now does not mean it is never coming out. They did not announce the arcade version until recently.

I say 'in line' and 'aunt', live in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Most people around here say 'in line' and 'ant' (I think I get my 'aunt' from having spent a few formative years in Nova Scotia.

PS I listen to UK radio and have heard the term 'on line' used over there.

You guys and the Joystiq podcast always forget always forget that European prices include VAT, whereas in the US prices exclude sales tax. This makes Euro prices look a little more even.
