Zipper Interactive must have received some positive feedback from its recent decision to make MAG's Sabotage gametype "Faction Neutral," effectively letting any of the game's three armies attack and defend any map. The developer recently announced that v1.07 of the title will be launched in early August, giving a similar treatment to the game's deathmatch-esque Suppression mode.
The update will also fix a few exploitable areas on a pair of maps, will improve visuals with additional lighting effects and will incorporate a "Happy Hour," which will give players double XP for the first hour they play online every day. That last part actually sounds like a pretty clever idea -- though we wouldn't suggest enjoying MAG's "Happy Hour" while simultaneously enjoying your favorite watering hole's "Happy Hour." All those Bloody Marys and boneless buffalo wings can't be good for your wartime instincts.

I really, really wish Xbox 360 had a MAG-like game.

For a second I thought you said Lag-like game, then I was going to refer you to MW2...

@Osnaz :: Does it lag much because of the amount of players?

The Double XP Happy Hour is quite cool. They already offer Double XP whenever you play in their "Directives" matches, but the queues can take a bit longer than I'd otherwise prefer. This allows me to play in whatever match I want for the first hour of play and then hop on over to Directives if I want to play more. Win/Win, so far as I'm concerned.

Love the game and ideas they've implemented but sadly I've already moved on from the game.

I just can't stop playing this game. And I'm glad they went with fraction neutral on sabo. I was talking about this months ago. Only my scenario was that if you were playing as valor and had to retake your territory from sver or raven that controlled it. But this is even better.
But, on the mic chatter there is so much bitching about it. I'm sorry, you're going to have to find new spots to camp now? And I don't see what the problem is, if you've attacked or defended a base for awhile and committed to memory where the enemy usually likes to strike, it doesn't make it that hard.
Is Interdiction worth the $10?

@Youthinized Interdiction is definitely not worth it. I've had it for a couple weeks now and have yet to play a game -- there's never enough people in the queue for a game. I've waited 20 minutes and never gotten in.

No, if their is its very minimum. Think the only thing that needs to be tweaking is some hit detection issues u get at sometime other than that its pretty solid for 256players on the same map.

Happy Hour is a clever idea indeed. This encourages me to play it again although the game became boring after switching to SVER "Veteran mode"

MAG is dead. No one plays it. everyone got frustrated because they were always tweaking the aiming/recoil/random wander. This patch came way too late.
