Call of Duty: Black Ops to do wet work on DS
27
Much like the other Activision-published current-gen wargamez that preceded it, Call of Duty: Black Ops will make an appearance on DS. The handheld game will arrive alongside all other versions of the title on November 9 and is being cared for by the professional portable porters at n-Space -- the same studio called upon for all the other DS Duties.
The Black Ops DS iteration will see the return of six-man multiplayer matches, which will adopt the unlockable "Perks" system from the home console versions of the franchise. Now you can complain about how cheap Commando Pro is ... on the go!
Check out a few teeny-tiny screenshots of the game in the gallery below.

@Osnaz How about some input instead of ragging on someone's opinion.
To me, it seems like it would be a little difficult to play online.

I... liked them. D:>
Albeit, I only played the original Modern Warfare DS, but the AC-130 scene is just awesome. It's the exact same thing as on consoles and the graphics are pretty similar (black, white, gray is pretty easy). So, that game was always fun to me.

I love the CoD DS games. They are well-developed and play well. I never tried the multi though.

@APV Agreed. Brand new PSP consoles can't be hacked at all, there's no problem with piracy.
IT's all to do with audience also, but this is what they should know, if anybody wanted to play an FPS they'd play it on a home console and not on the DS which is full of non fps players that never want to play

Easy, that's becaues the DS sells much more, and these shitty portable versions are aimed towards casual gamers. Consider the amount of casual gamers on PSP and on DS, and you just know which system to develop on.

Casuals wanting to play a mature core shooter that you can hardly see things clearly on? I think who ever bought these just encouraged them to make more, I played the MW2 version and my impression was quick cash-in.
They're not going to sell, I don't think anyone here would buy it I don't believe why an adult would buy this for their child, it's pointless.

Possibly because the DS has the necessary inputs to at least somewhat competently mimic a mouse-and-keyboard or dual-analogue setup? If you think shooters are anything other than excruciating to play on PSP... well, try a few and get back to me. They're not exactly great on DS either (hand cramps ahoy), but between the two I know which one I'd choose.

Based on your post, I'd figure you never have played a CoD DS game.
And btw, the PSP kinda sells poorly, so don't expect developers to all of a sudden jump on it.

This is something I have wondered forever. It's all about the user base and profitability. Since the NDS and iPod Touch/iPhone have such large user bases, they get the CoD games. It wouldn't be hard to take Nazi Zombies from the iPod Touch or WaW from the DS, slap some Medal of Honor-like controls and put it on the PSP, it just wouldn't make as much money

It's just a cash-in and mostly for kids. I can't count the number of kids I've seen begging for a CoD DS game at Target. Usually these games come in at a T rating unlike their console counterparts.
