Go behind the scenes with Red Dead Redemption's accompanists

Seeing that Red Dead Redemption takes place in a primitive world predating the car stereo, Rockstar San Diego had to come up with another way of injecting music into the title. Their solution: an interactive, Spaghetti Western-inspired score -- the making of which can be seen in the video below.

I thought they did a great job capturing the style of the period in the music, and the stem-based auto-assembly ensured it never got repetitive or predictable. There are bits in the game that aren't on the soundtrack CD...I wish I had a full dump of all the stems!
There wasn't a single part about RDR that wasn't incredibly memorable, but the music will definitely be with me long after I've taken the game disc out of my console and put it on the shelf...to be played again next year, most likely.

After watching this I have even more respect for Rockstar for making this game... Whcih they thought was going to be a complete failure at retail.
I would rather have another Red Dead title than another GTA. I never liked the western setting until I heard about this game and I hope it makes other devs realize that westerns are no longer niche and will sell craploads.
