Oh, WHY do they have to taunt me with this info? I'm already planning on getting a 3DS and this game among many others, but knowing it's still a long way away doesn't help me.

@Gitthew why would we wasnt pre-rendered sprites? capcom is actually putting a full fledge street fighter on the 3ds, not a phone game.

you're joking right, please before we up vote him any further? Have any of you played SF4 on the iPhone... its the single best fighting game for the iPhone. its fast, fluid and mapped out perfect for the touch screen.

btw, i dont think they should copy the controls over to the DS. A unique swipe would be cool.

@NaeemTHM well that e3 build is pretty old. the comic con screens are more recent, though a bit blurry. you can actually see a improvement over these e3 screens, though.

3DS...

I really hope the system still gets a lot of sprite based games, just like the Nintendo DS.

By the way... did you guys see the new SFIV 3DS pictures? The style is now similar to the HD versions.

You know... the 3DS has the same button layout as the 360 or PS3 controller... heck, it even has a better d-pad than the 360 controller.

Uhh.... Street Fighter is (and always has been) a 6-button game.

It'd be no different than playing on a 360/PS3 controller, or HELL, A SUPER NINTNEDO CONTROLLER. YOU KNOW THERE WERE STREET FIGHTER GAMES ON SNES, RIGHT?!

It amazes me how people think that, of all things, controls would be an issue for SSFIV3DS.

Aparently you forgot that the 3DS has shoulder buttons (L + R)...

The 3DS has 6 buttons (A,B, X, Y, L and R), a D-Pad, analog stick (a real one... not like the PSP nub)... plus, they could add extra touchscreen buttons (not necessary though).

I guess what he's getting at is the lack of... I don't know what to call them, but the shortcut buttons that automatically hit light, medium and heavy of a punch or kick.

COuld them put them on the touch screen maybe? Maybe if the left half was all kick and the right half was all punch or something... I guess we'll just have to play like men.
