Look, we really wanted to write a harsh diatribe about the University of Central Florida's federally-funded game development project: An Avatar-esque edu-game that teaches young girls to ignore the sexual advances of their contemporaries. We wanted to talk about all the things that $434,000 of taxpayer's money could have been spent on, or how silly of a concept a motion-controlled abstinence game really is. Unfortunately, our spite turned to pure, unbridled glee after watching this Fox News Report on the project.
Between the news-friendly gaming lingo ("digital puppetry," "jumping into the skin," "interactors," etc.) and the contorted, soulless husks that comprise the game's cast of sexually aware characters, the video -- posted just after the jump -- is a comedy goldmine. Dig in, gang.

We're Gamers! The last thing we need is yet more women learning how to ignore our sexual advances.

@Rocketboy Fox News and local news produced by Fox affiliates are two different things. While Fox affiliates do have access to some Fox News reporters and stories should they choose to use it, they are just local news outlets, and are not local branches of Fox News. It should also be noted that Griffin's article is a bit inaccurate, stating that this is a "Fox News Report" when in fact, it is news report by Fox 35 of Orlando, FL.

Giant failure if their target audience is females.
If they wanted to go with a videogame, they should have made it a browser-enabled, Facebook application, and had PopCap sign off on publishing. Then girls would totally play it.
Just not the ones who are having sex. So, another failure there anyway!

What a waste of money. Think of all the homeless people that 450,000 dollars could have fed. ):

If we weren't taxed byt he federal government everyone would have more money to help out homeless people or whatever charitable contributions they'd choose with the extra money.

I'd just like to say that the city I live in is planning to use $100,000 to build a statue commemorating dead homeless people

The notion of the end justifying the means... doesn't work here.
People who develop good games don't work by that mantra. And people who make these kinds of games simply don't know how to make engaging games at all.
You can't teach kids anything of worth by assigning arbitrary points to them.
Also, good luck, Central Florida, getting that to pique enough families' interests to get them to wire up their daughters for an afternoon of hollow, forgettable "what-the-fudgery" to be worth the tax dollars.

Here's 50 points for using the word "notion"
And here's a 10x multiplier for having four paragraphs.
THE POINTS SYSTEM HASN'T FAILED ME YET!

What, you don't like heads that jerk randomly, and limbs that contort to unnatural positions? I can't imagine how you'd find that unattractive.

People are going to do it regardless. We've been doing it for as long as our species existed (obviously). Instead of beating around the bush, act like a responsible adult and educate your kids about the pro's and cons. Don't act like it's all evil either, cause we all know the more taboo something is, the more fun it becomes.
