Inactive Aion accounts reactivated for double XP weekend
14
Over on the official Aion message boards, NCsoft has announced a "Double Your Fun" weekend, during which all players will receive double experience points.. In addition, all inactive Aion accounts will be reactivated for the weekend in order to entice lapsed players. If you've had an inkling to revisit the world of Atreia, this looks like the weekend to do it. Find the double XP schedule for each server after the break.

Tom Petty approves of this message. Is this game any good? I'd like to try it now that I have a PC that can play more than Torchlight and WoW, but I don't want to have to play another mediocre WoW clone if I can avoid it. Any thoughts?

I dunno... KoToR is starting to sound pretty sweet.
And provided they kill out the grinding in FFXIV and not make everything tedious...that could blow up big too (especially considering it will be available to consoles...something WoW isn't......which for the life of me I'll never understand why.

I agree with you there...WoW is a monster.
But I *really* want KoToR to be good....like Beta SWG good. And I also want them to finally do an online Final Fantasy that doesn't involve a raid group just to walk across the landscape or 300 hours and 10000+ lost exp just to make it to a specialized class...(long winded version of "Please don't suck".)
One out of the two has to be a winner........right?

If they want people to play Aion on a regular basis the most important thing to do would be to not make this game cost as much as WoW to play.
Seriously, you don't go against the leader in the industry by trying to match its price before people believe that you match its quality. Not saying Aion is a bad game, just saying a lower price would probably help get more customers.
