@Silent MiLk Major problem? It looks like it's only people who are replacing their HDDs.

...which is a very small amount of people.

@Silent MiLk Funny, I'd say the person throwing insults is the ass, not the other way around.

It's not a major problem because it's not affecting a large number of users but just "some" users. So therefor, it's a minor problem. I never said it wasn't Sony's fault. It's just a weird error for a tiny group.

As a teacher in my old high school once said to me:

"It's a minor injury if it happens to you. It's a major injury if it happens to me."

@Silent MiLk 1. Did you call them? Because you won't get an immediate email response, but you will get an immediate response if you call them.

2. Just because it happened when an update occurred doesn't mean that it was the update. It could be faulty hardware that couldn't take whatever strain the update put on it even though normal hardware would.

3. Whining on here rather than handling it yourself makes you an idiot. When my Blur Ray drive failed I acted like an adult, rather than whining in a totally unrelated blog post.

YES I DID CALL THEM..
I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IT IS NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE BECAUSE THE OLD HDD WORKS..
I ALSO KNOW THAT YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE FOR TALKING SHIT..

i wish you lived in sacramento, so i could show you the problem and you wouldnt be such a douchebag after you see its a REAL problem..

I can't wait for DCUO. In fact, just because of all the hype I have for it, I've been reading some awesome comics. The "Blackest Night" story is really epic. It's just a shame that DC did zombies better than Marvel, and I thought those were the bees knees! Green Lantern FTW.

@CrimsonRyan Marvel Zombies isn't a main story arc though. Vastly different handling of "zombies" due to that.

Too true. Marvel Zombies have happened in alternate dimensions and to mostly B or C list characters of the 616 (the exception being Deadpool who is definitely an A-lister now...).

The battle mode just sounds like a small diversion away from the game. If they were to fashion it the style of Marvel vs. Capcom, that would be awesome, but I imagine it'll just be something to play around with when you're bored with grinding.

Everything I've seen about this game recently gives me a Uwe Boll kind of feeling. Every single design decision I've heard sounds absolutely idiotic and remind you you're playing a game rather than roleplaying a superhero.

1. The game seems to have a heavy gear focus, to the point where the dev's interview with Massively mentioned Superman's use as a raid token vendor. Gear really has no point in a superhero game unless everyone is playing Iron Man.

2. PvP involves people ditching their normal PvE characters to play "iconic" heroes. Because we all know we wanna fight with eight different indistinguishable Supermans in a battle. Of course, given the way PvP in games ALWAYS shakes down, it'll more likely we'll see premade groups of 2 Captain Atoms, a Kid Eternity, and a Poison Ivy(Or something equally ridiculous.)

3. Game's backstory involves Lex Luthor gifting thousands of people superpowers. So instead of the player getting to feel like a hero, they get to feel like they're stuck in 52, Kingdom Come, or Bloodlines.

you don't have to play as one of the other iconic characters. you can play as your own if you want. they put the ability to play as batman or whoever because SOE thought people would want to or something. who really knows what this will be like. i just hope i get in the beta so i can find out for myself. oh and i agree with you on the gear thing. it seems really silly for them to make it a big deal. again who knows until people start playing.

My response after only beginning to read into the second paragraph was going to be all about what hole you can shove the first paragraph in. Unfortunately, yeah, everyone's a freakin critic, even bloggers. Thanks for the update none the less.

I hope this isn't the only pvp the game offers.

I'm getting the same sinking feeling about this game as I did for Star Trek Online as it was nearing launch.
I predict it will have a moderately bigger launch than STO, just on the basis of a larger fan base. After that it'll just fizzle out of the consciousnesses of the gaming public at large, at best maintaining some interest till the old republic comes out, at which point the only people that will remember that it exists are those playing it.

If they offer lifetime subscriptions, don't get it.

QFT but I think that's a trap only Cryptic employs.
