Only a noob/non-gamer would place Street Fighter IV on the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Argh! So jagged. You don't do these games any favors by stretching out the images. I'm still looking forward to this game, though. Any news about who will make the cut and who won't? Also, what will the news of Street Fighter vs. Tekken mean for the 3DS?

Famitsu confirmed that all 35 console warriors will appear in the game.

Thank God, the E3 screenshots looked downright awful.

Instead of wasting processing power on 3d, why not just make the games look better?

@Osnaz

Considering how big the game is for a handheld, I don't think this game can look much better.

It looks pretty amazing on iPhone already... What more do you want for a portable game??

You are aware it has "3D" in the title, and it is on a "3D"s, right?

They DO look better.

These graphics would hardly have been possible on, say, a DSi.

He's saying why spend resources on making the graphics 3D when those resources could be spent on making the game look better in 2D.

And the answer is that it looks better in 3D, even with a bit lower resolution textures and models.
Apparently he effect is meant to be "Jaw Dropping". We'll get to find out ourselves soon enough. :D

I've always wanted a good portable fighting game besides Guilty Gear Judgement, hopefully SSFIV 3D can seal the deal.

They both look ridiculous, but you can't expect much for a portable game. The 3DS version will be blast to play online.

Ono lied to us. Again. He said super street fighter 4 was the last version of SF4 going to be released. Now look what we've got. Stil buying day one though.

That's kind of the reason I didn't pick up SSFIV... I just KNEW there'd be another version I wanted more. it just happened to coincide with a system I'm unbelievably excited for.

3DS SSFIV will obviously have better everything than iPhone SFIV. I mean...it's apparently going to be just like the console version, it won't be touch (some games work really well on iPhone, like Peggle, this one did not). Thumbs won't get in the way of intense footsies.

I'm still enamored by the 3DS. I'm a joystick playing snob, but I think I still want this.

This is like comparing the graphics on a hand held to a console, except we’re just going down one more level. iPhone is smaller than the 3DS and fulfill more tasks, but it does not have the graphical power that a machine solely dedicated to gaming has. Therefore, you can expect cheaper, less graphically demanding versions of games on the device. It’s simply a matter of options. Are you going to use your phone for gaming or are you going to carry around a device whose sole dedication is this gaming? What matters in the end is whether either title is worth its respective price tag.

@Snow Leopard If my phone was as strong as the 3DS graphics but still had the snapdragon or higher cpu then... HELL YES! I would definitely like to have extreme combinations of gadgets. I want a water bottle that warms water and tells the time & temperature.

Er, the DS has buttons. It wins.

I'd love to see it on PSP, considering how pretty Soul Calibur and Tekken are, but Capcom's entire PSP catalog thus far consists of remakes + Monster Hunter.

From the looks of these screens, I'd say that the 3DS supports per-pixel shaders for normal mapping, which is pretty crazy, seing as how Wii games can't even employ that shader technique. I believe this would be a first for a handheld system too, delicious!

Screw this, I want Rare to make Killer Instinct Platinum for the 3DS [A sequel to Gold]. This is way too flowery for my tastes.
