I just found out that the MMPR are on Saturday mornings for an hour, at noon. Was my favorite show as a young lad.

Yeah, i remember having my mom set my alarm to 9am on saturday after a long week of school. I'd get a pop tart, some fruit loops, change the channel to fox kids and I was good to go.

It's pretty good, nothing to write home about, though.

It's very good concept & story. I love the level of immersion although I liked Farcry 2's immersion level more. But the only problem is the hit detection is terrible. Especially when shooting the beast creature things. It wouldn't be such a downfall if your ammo didn't also count as your currency.

Still a good game tho. Love the gas masks and filter changing. Plus the clipboard lighter deal looks awesome.

Yeah it's an interesting concept. The world is dangerous & desolate that ammo became the most valuable thing to covet. So there's two different types of bullets for pistols and rifles. Shotguns just has regular shells I think. The pistol/rifle ammo has regular bullets that are weaker, and then there's military grade ammo (it's extra shiny!) that does much more damage but are also worth A LOT more at the shops between levels. It def ups the tension during big gun fights cause you know you'll need those money shots (ha!) later for health packs or gasmask filters.

@Faenix

Hell yeah, its the apocalypse, whats more valuable than ammo and drugs and Gas. They didn't include the gas and drugs though, heh

IMO, it was a decent game and there were things I loved about it (Like the currency system) but ultimately after a couple hours I got what I wanted out of it and it's not like the story itself was stellar, Which isn't necessarily a deal breaker if its got other things going for it, like fallout 3. For example, I'd rather play Fallout 3 because it's in somewhat of the same genre in terms of setting but the gameplay is just more fun.

So basically they want Xbox 360 players to pay for them to take something OUT of the game?

How about "no"?

It's three bucks for new guns, achievements and modes. Mass Effect 2 just charged 2 bucks for a gun and a suit of armor. Honestly, this sounds better.

Yeah, I'm with Ezu. Couldn't you just pick up every other ammo drop you see and just make the game harder for yourself. Did it really cost them that much time and effort that they have to charge you for deleting a few pieces of code?

@Grey There are also two guns included. So really it's $3 for 2 guns and some new modes. In a previous lifetime all of this would have been free and probably bundled in with a patch... but in the modern world of DLC it's reasonably priced.

@Exu Actually *they* don't want the players to pay anything, hence the DLC is free for PC players. Reason you're paying $3 bucks is Microsoft, so all complaints should be directed to sbalmer@microsoft.com

It adds more immersion and a greater challenge.. What's the problem? Is $3 really gonna break your bank?

@whylekat Not really, I don't have the game yet and this crap puts me off buying it just a little bit. Pretty sure some of these guns were preorder bonuses (bonusi?) too, so already in the game.

240 points may not be much (a slight over £2 in real money) but when you're paying for not just content already on the disc, but for content to be REMOVED from the game, then any price higher than zero is too much.

Considering combat was the worst part of the game making it harder and probably even less fun seems like a bad idea. I was hoping they would put out new side levels or something.

This is a survival game, and the lack of ammo adds for a much more intense experience just like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I'll gladly give them just $3 for supporting this underrated game.

So the guns do more damage? That's better, because the shitty part about the game is that the guns feel ineffective.

This is a great game. It's also refreshing to see a company charge what appears to be an appropriate price for DLC. This is not a major addition/expansion/multiplayer component, but a nice an' tiny bone to throw to the Metro supporters. And besides, it's $3. I just spent that to see some tits in The Saboteur.

I hated this game; the combat was terrible and it took forever to kill something, even on the easy difficulty.

That's probably because the hit detection wasn't fantastic. Plenty of times perfect head shot lined up but nope completely misses. Haha but still a good game. I've played way worse! Like Rouge Warrior!!
