That's impossible considering the fact that this battle only happened in the Shippuden series...I do understand what you're saying, tho; same characters...I was kinda disappointed about that too, but I'm still hyped for this game...

the AI is much better in the full game right? because at one point, kakashi was just standing there with his back to naruto just letting him attack him. i get that it's a demo, but still... does it get more difficult/realistic (realistic in regards to the anime, not real life...) or are there various difficulty settings?

This is probably a 'boss battle' (first couple of episodes from Naruto Shippuden). So those moments where Kakashi let Naruto attack him is where he reloads after doing 2 Chidories after eachother. Although I must admit that the Naruto games aren't THAT hard (via replacement technique), but on the hardest difficulty setting the AI does give some kind of fight.
Just don't forget that that is not the point, this is the kind of fighter you play with some friends while being bored. Just some random button mashing, y'all

I STILL play the first game with friends, and I got the game when it came out. The game is a blast with friends. If the second game is like the first one, with a larger roster of characters and a few tweaks, it will be a guaranteed buy. Game was not repetitive at all in my opinion, but maybe playing the game with other people instead of AI makes all the difference. Which, the online multiplayer (pretty sure they said it will have online multiplayer) will make it like that for everyone anyways.
