Rock Band Weekly: Blondie, Decemberists and many more

There will be no track packs in next week's Rock Band DLC update. Instead, eight individual songs will be released, demonstrating a wide array of artists. Several bands will even be making their Rock Band debuts, including The Decemberists and dc Talk.

It's an eclectic group of singles on deck -- check out the full details after the break.

I'd rather have Tigerlilly. They finally put a Decemberist song on Rockband and it's not off of Hazards of Love!

@BrKnight Damnit, I was hoping for something epic that could eat an entire 1600 point card. Oh well, better luck next week.

ZZZZZ. Come on. DLC has been pretty lackluster lately. The CCR stuff is the only interesting content in the last 2 months.

I keep thinking "ohhh I'd totally dig (song) on Rock Band" and then realise that most of those songs would be SO much better with keyboard support so I'm okay with the wait but yet, can't wait for RB3!

I saw one of those "tester leaks" and if its true.......the RB3 dlc will AWESOME, trust me. Doors, Hendrix, Lennon, Sabbath, KISS, and my favorite Cage the Elephant's "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked"

Ok, probably not the Decemberists' song I would have picked (definitely not), but that Eagles of Death Metal track is rockin.

@LoveYouSomeEric I agree.. O Valencia! or maybe On the Bus Mall would have been my choices, but I'm still going to get it. Hopefully, if it gets supported, they'll put on some more.

@Phoenix654 I'll buy it too. Also, if I may fantasize wildly about what Decemberists song I'd like to play in Rock Band -- give me The Tain in all its glory!

I'm really excited for some dc Talk. I think the song "My Friend (So Long)" would've been a little more fun to play, but this is still sweet.

I love all those, sans Family Force 5.

Dangit. This news went from awesome to decent as soon as I saw WHICH Decemberists song was chosen =[. I'll still buy it to show support and hopefully show them we want more songs available!
