That's cool. I had to click on the Game Reset button first, then clicked on the game window. Arrows moved ya, and when you find the gun, spacebar shoots

A Covenant is a promise to refrain from doing something.
Not just another word for promise.

@Teh Rei You a tad wrong. A covenant is "An agreement to do or not do a particular thing."

So in this case we're making a covenant to play the game.

Covenant
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A covenant is a solemn promise to engage in or refrain from a specified action.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covenant

"engage in... a specified action"

Sounds like correct usage by Joystiq to me...

@Italian Stallion Meh.
I was wrong.

Forgive me?
Or does it not work on the internets?

Anyhow, Halo for Atari would've been a classic.

So what about that whole "Ark of the Covenant" thing? Sure, some of the commandments are "thou shalt not", but others are "thou shalt" (e.g. honor thy family). There's quite a bit more if you care to read it
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covenant_(biblical)

Not sure where you got your definition.

Actually you're all wrong, Covenant is a fictional theocratic military alliance of alien races who serve as the main antagonists in the Halo science fiction series.

It's actually pretty easy to flash those old carts. Indie devs for 2600 games do it all the time. Check out atariage.com for example ;).

Well it isn't Halo 3 or Reach, but it's Halo game that PC users can play to tide them over until they are never ported.

Looks more like Halo 5200. The 2600 couldn't handle that.
