If you've ever played Angry Birds, the headline above has already made your day. If you've played Angry Birds only to have a friend / significant other snatch it away -- a cruel reminder of your iPhone-less existence -- then the above headline has undoubtedly left you positively elated. Yes, Chillingo's Joe Wee has confirmed to The Sun that the addictive, Boom Blox-esque puzzler is headed to "Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and PS3."
The fact the game is slated for PS3 and PSP would suggest that Angry Birds will be released as a Mini, though Chillingo wouldn't provide Joystiq with any concrete details. Hopefully we'll hear more at Gamescom later this month.

Oh man this is good news.... did you guys know that you can play Canabalt and N+ on your PS3 browser. You do need a keyboard i think, or it at least makes it more enjoyable... i believe you can also play Continuity, tho im not sure, which is 10x better then anything available on the app store

You obviously have not played Angry Birds.

I believe your exact words were "10x better than ANYTHING available on the app store", with Angry Birds being a one of anything available on the app store. Although perhaps you mean that those other games are 10x better than awesome.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. If your claim is that the PS3 is a better gaming machine than the iPhone, I don't think anyone ever made that claim.
Half the fun of angry birds is trying to precisely line up your birds using your finger. I don't think the experience would be the same when played inside the PS3's browser.

A simple, frustrating, and amazing game! Glad to see it expand to other horizons. It's ashame that it isn't coming to Xbox Live Arcade, but that's life. Maybe it will come, maybe it won't. I'll just continue to play it on my IPhone :D

If they made an HD remake with 3D graphics then I'd buy it instantly. If it's just a Minis game then I'll pass.

3D would make this game terrible (just look at games like Worms that suffered the same fate)
But there is already a HD version for the iPad which I assume is what they are porting and it looks great.

I'm hoping for a sweet graphical update with new levels, like Critter Crunch did.

Man, wish it was coming out for XBLA, but the DS version is good enough.
*Shakes fist at brother* He let me play it on his iPhone a few times and I got addicted to it and then he took it away...

My 3 1/2 yr old loves it. We were at the Apple store and somehow he figured out how to start that game and figured out how to play it. And even when he hit the home button, he was able to figure out how to get back and also how to restart the game.
Some lady took pictures of him in the store because he was so cute playing the game.

I really enjoyed this game on the iPod Touch, I am glad everyone else will soon be able to as well. I hope its not a port though, $15 wouldn't be fair for a port.

WOW.
I'm still waiting for them to release Minigore for the PSP.
Stop making new games and release the stuff you were supposedly almost finished making BEFORE THE PSPGO LAUNCHED.

I don't get all this hype over Angry Birds
I got it cause it had been in the top spot for weeks, but it's just another clone of a different game, like most games are on the App Store.

Angry Birds is good for an iPhone game (or any phone for that matter).
When you put it up against DS, PSP and PS3 games you realise really how basic and disinteresting it is.
I for one would rather have more meaty content.
