@PlayboyX That depends. Are console video games developed on consoles or pc? Think it over and don't strain your brain for the answer.

Such a better path.

I guess me having a crap PC doesn't mean everyone else has a crap PC...

I've decided to. I have no real reason other than I want it for the PC, even though I own a 360. I guess when given a choice I just go for the system I've been on longer.

Even though I will purchase it for the 360, I hope that this delay is to release a PC Fable 2 inclusion with Fable 3. It's the least they could do for giving them the shaft.

@pibs - This delay is likely designed so that the 360 release of Fable III doesn't have to compete with the piracy rates that the PC version will have. Either that, or the game just isn't done yet.

@Cleric - Not as much as PC games. It's far easier to download and install a pirated PC game than it is a 360 game. I didn't say that it was logically sound to avoid launching a PC game day and date with a console game (I don't know if it is; The data doesn't exist to prove that delaying a PC release helps console sales, or if it does, I don't have it). It does seem like a lot of big titles ship on the consoles first though, and that the PC version mysteriously lags behind without any explanation given. As I said though, for this particular game, it could just be that the game isn't done yet.

I'd actually say Microsoft aren't concerned with piracy so much as they are with the extra money they make off of every Xbox 360 copy sold. The Xbox 360 and LIVE are closed platforms and Microsoft likes them that way; they do not like the PC as a games platform because they cannot nickel and dime it in the same way they do with the consoles. However, they also realise that Fable 3 is a good fit for the PC community, and that porting the game won't cost more than they'll make in sales.

The only games that PC is good for is RTS games & MMO games. That's about it. A lot of people believe FPS are better on PC but I can't stand high sensitivity in my FPS games.

That's a major factor that decides a games console version or PC version. Would you want to pay 600+ dollars on a good graphics card or pay 300 dollars or less for a 360 or PS3? Most would choose the latter

Your statements indicate that you are from Bizarro world. That or you are completely stoned. There is a 3rd possibility though, you could simply be ignorant but that's impossible. This is Joystiq and all posts are well thought out, well written and come from educated people. Nope, must be Bizzaro world.

Umm what? You understand that top of the line graphics cards are $500 right? And that they're are also dual GPU cards?

You can get a graphics card to run PS3/Xbox360 graphics for less than $100 easily.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125250&cm_re=4550-_-14-125-250-_-Product

This graphics card is better than the ones used in consoles and is $50. Also, very low power consumption.

"Would you want to pay 600+ dollars on a good graphics card or pay 300 dollars or less for a 360 or PS3?"

When I built my current rig in 2008, my factory overclocked HD 4870 was around $310.00 including the 13% I paid in taxes. Including taxes, the 80 GB Motorstorm bundle I bought the same month was $600 and the Xbox 360 Premium I had previously bought was around $550 (this was before Microsoft decided to bring the 360's MSRP down to match what it was selling for in the States). I would hardly consider either system a bargain compared to the cost I spent on my videocard.

"Would you want to pay 600+ dollars on a good graphics card" As soon as you made this comment, any one with even the slightest understanding of PC gaming stopped following you. A $600 videocard is an enthusiast class card; it's something that only makes sense if you're trying to outgun the rest of your friends in synthetic benchmarks , trying to play the market's most resource intensive games (Crysis, GTA IV, Metro 2033) with all image quality settings maxed out at a resolution of 2500x1600, or if you're trying to play said games at 1920x1200 with some insane level of anti-aliasing (16x MSAA, 12x CFAA, or 8X SSAA). A GTX 460 1 GB offers 85-90% of the performance of the $500+ GTX 480 and it does so at less than half the price ($200, depending on where you shop) with far lower power consumption and heat dissipation. I know I'd take that GTX 460 any day of the week and spend the money on 2 games of my choice than a 360 or PS3 and most people who have some degree of technical proficiency would make the same choice.

I'm still confused. Fable 1 came to PC as Fable: the Lost Chapters. They skipped Fable 2, but we are getting Fable 3 on PC.

Hey Microsoft...I've got some money to spend on Fable 2 for PC...where is it?
