New 'Tales of' game formally announced, first concept art revealed

Namco Bandai has officially acknowledged the existence of a leaked Tales of title. Andriasang reports series producer Hideo Baba confirmed at a press conference that there is a new entry coming to PS3, but that it's currently nameless -- shooting down rumor that it'll be called "Tales of Unitia." There is currently no release window for the game, but some concept art was shown (pictured).
Additionally, the company verified the port Tales of Graces F for the PS3 this winter, which will include an "after-story" that wasn't in the original Wii game. A Namco Bandai representative informed Joystiq that the publisher currently has no plans to release "Tales of Graces (PS3)" in North America.

Prioritize, B-N. Localize Graces before moving on to something else!

They'd better end up releasing it on the 360.

If they can“t guarantee enough money, they don't release it outside of Japan.
Or maybe the title is a 360 exclusive outside Japan thanks to Microsoft, anyway, this sucks.

i hope to see this game in the us, and i really doubt that it will be a 360 relese, tales of vesperia got more copies on ps3 on the relese date than a hole year on the 360
and for tales of graces. . . . . . . . . those japanese bastards, they keep the good games for themselfs

I've played the import of Tales of Graces. It's beautiful and awesome. Even in Japanese, and not being able to understand most of it, the game is up there with Symphonia as one of the better Tales games.
I'd love for Graces F, Unitia and Vesperia (PS3) to all make it to the US. That's three guaranteed sales right here, Namco!

Where the hell is Tales of Vesperia for PS3? That's the question I'd like answered before I hear anything about new Tales games.

At first I thought this was going to be about Monkey Island. That's now the first thing that comes to mind when I see "tales of."

Went ahead and sent an email to Namco Bandai to localize Tales of Graces F. Probably won't get a response but what they hey.

How about we all keep emailing Namco-Bandai until they release all three on the PS3 in N/A and Europe? Or English version anywhere would do, really thx to no region locked on the PS3. :-)

Lovely sales strategy, really. You are not only not localizing the more complete version of Vesperia, and the new Graces game in either version, but you announce a new one and hope people will jump onboard. Remember that Graces sold poorly? People decided to simply wait for the PS3 port like with Vesperia, and alas, it was announced.
Good job pissing off your fanbase, you are becoming exceedingly good at it.

Another game on my list of "to import." It sucks that there's no European release of any of the PS3 Tales of games because then people could just play it on the region-free PS3. I know Japanese, so I'm good, but I feel bad because there have been some fantastic Tales of games on the NDS and PSP that'll prolly never get that English makeover. :'(
I understand why they're not planning on bringing Graces F or the new one over, but the Tales of Vesperia port should be a quick fix. Most of the translation is done, there'd just be the need for the new additions to be translated. Sure, there's probably a cost to importing all that information onto the PS3 and there would be work involved but I'm sure the cost is a fraction of what the original localization for Vesperia cost. Not only that, how many people have bought the PS3 for the promised JRPG's? There's a significantly larger RPG fanbase on the PS3 compared to the 360 and these games should really make the jump. :o
