@BrianH Geez, can we stop calling people sheep ffs? Nobody's voting for senators or presidents because they're handsome, nor are they drinking kool aid as the comets fly over. This is about freaking video game DLC, and from a game that is the only game played at all for some people.

I never even bought World at War, so the last (and only) map pack I bought for a COD game was the one for 4 (which I was honestly a little disappointed by).

I still haven't bought them because I played them at a friend's house:

-Too claustrophobic
-Too complex
-Too much scenery that looks like other players from a long distance

And so much more..

I hated the DLC in W@W.... not the maps themselves or anything (they were a better deal), but the fact that they matched people who owned the maps with people who didnt.
If you didn't purchase you were constantly having to leave lobbies b/c it picked a map you don't own

@Streeks1984 meaning the map packs were a great attempt at robbing the gamer out of there money paying so much for so little but idiot gamers don't see it like that because of there lack of being educated on this topic. Those whom bough COD4 should see that they incorporated maps that they already purchased these supposed "NEW MAPS" in MW2 and they will still pay 15 bucks for it....when a company knows they have that kind of influence....sky is the limit. its a shame though I thought that gamers would be a little smarter and see what is going on here.....but atlas they are uneducated so its not there fault i guess.

your spelling sucks, as well as your punctuation. (i'm exempt because i dont like to capitalize).

as far as your rant.. seriously, wtf? who cares if people are sheep to a videogame franchize? you can be smart and save your money for something else, but do you really need to go as far as calling people "idiots" who enjoy a particular game & spend more money on it? waste of time & energy. heck i dont even like FPS & never played a COD game and i feel a need to defend them from your ignorance.

@The BZA Well I don't believe that I am writing a college paper so punctuation and spelling are not as important, but seeing as how this offends you and others I will try my best going forward. Now to further elaborate on what I wrote previously the ends don't justify the means with activisions offering of these map packs. They are robbing you with each sale because they have you spending more and getting less because they tell you the new stuff in there is worth buying. For one to believe that yes makes you an idiot and idiots will believe everything if it is pretty and or shinny enough.

How was the grammar and punctuation on that one?

So, what are u trying to say is that people is stupid for buying maps that were rebumped from a previous game to a newer one, while the gamers who bought that DLC might or might not have played those maps.

So, Activision creates a game that sells shitloads of copies, cause its fun, i loved the mp and moved on, and then they decide to release a DLC (overpriced in my opinion) and gamers respond buying lots of DLC cause they feel that 15 dollars will enhance thir gaming experience, and it does.

So, the gamer win cause they get more stuff for their game. This is your definition of stupid?

PD: Excuse my poor english. :P

I can't believe this ignorant, simplistic, idiotic comment is upvoted. I'm losing faith in the Joystiq community. If you don't like Modern Warfare 2 and think the map packs aren't worth it, fine, good for you. But goddamn people, it's just an add-on for a game that some people find entertainment value in. I personally didn't buy them because I think some of the maps are too big and cluttered. But that does not mean that people that did buy them are "morons"...
