Call of Duty map packs enlist 20 million

Activision has announced that, as of June 30, 2010, the Call of Duty franchise has managed to sell 20 million map packs life-to-date. So apparently this Call of Duty thing is kind of a big deal. In other news: water is wet and cookies are delicious.

Am I the only one who still enjoys MW2? I mean it has its flaws but it's still a fun game.

So 20 Million idiots, actually paid for Map Pack, when it was pretty much recycled maps..Gimme a break this proves Activison can charge as much as they want and they get away with it. B/c these idiots have no will power to make a stand for gamers. I for one wont' ever purchase these until they go on sale. If they were 800pts fine but 1200 pts for a few new/used maps with added cars and graffiti to make it "different"....GTFO

@Blackmagic1o0 "these idiots have no will power" Did it ever occur to you that maybe just some people don't have the same opinions as us? Just because they bought it means they're all week minded fools who wanted to "protest" against Activisions practices but couldn't do it? They couldn't just be people who play MW2 more than any other game and would enjoy the maps?

On the PC, so few people have the DLC that it can be hard to find a good game sometimes. I guess charging for the new maps worked against you guys this time, huh?
In other news: not buying this shit, not buying the next Call of Duty, Bobby Kotick's face needs to be precision-removed with a lawnmower.

My only hope is that black ops is amazingly awesome, and that treyarch doesn't go the way of IW's pricing structure.

They don't necessarily need to innovate anything new...I just hope the narrative is better than mw2 or W@W, and that the MP is robust.

@TRONdll
Where'd you hear all this? That sounds great already.
COD has suffered from too many magic-grenades, infinite-respawning (or what feels like infinite respawning in mw2), and the inability to use any sort of stealth.

They're are basically announcing how successful they'll be when they start charging for online multiplayer. Trust me it's gonna happen. And people are still gonna pay.
