CTA Digital's Move accessories range from 'useful' to 'gloves'

Peripheral company CTA Digital announced two new accessories for the PlayStation Move, meant to enhance different aspects of the experience. For those of you who want to pay even more to play The Fight: Lights Out, CTA offers the Ultimate Boxing Gloves -- a set of fingerless gloves into which you can secure the Move controllers. The Wii has the wrist strap, but thanks to CTA, Move has the elusive palm strap.

The other new accessory is actually pretty slick-looking, and even practical: it's a charge cradle designed for one Move controller, one Navigation Controller, and one Dual Shock 3. For the one-Move household, this actually appears to be an ideal charging setup. The company also offers two other configurations for Move charging: one for just the Move and the Navigation Controller, and one for two Moves and two Navigation Controllers.

But CTA-D, on a scale of 1 to accessories, is quite superfluous.

I thought all the Move controllers would have the same charging port, so that charging station docks would be interchangable with what Move setup you have, ie. Two Move or One Move and a Navigation controller.

I think they are interchangeable.

I really love this complete charger. I will almost surely get two of them.

I also love the gloves. This could really be an awesome boxing game. I realize that's highly derivative of Wii sports boxing, but Wii boxing made accurate sounds like one of the best workout games possible. They look a lot like something an Xbox fan would have photoshopped to make fun of the Move, though... it's kinda obvious what I mean. But I still think it's excellent.

The Move will be launching with a lot of fun games, too. It's amazing how much better Sony is at this compared with the PS3's launch.

@BlackedOut they all use mini usb ports to charge and from what ive seen of the bottom the mini-usb port is in the same place so I guess you could use it to charge 2 moves or 2 nav controllers.. etc etc..

the charger is nice....but I will wait and see what other DS3/Move charger combos come out....hopefully one that charges 2 Sub Controllers, 2 Move Controllers, and 2 DualShock 3's...

So, the color changes when you wear gloves?

I never had that happen before with my wiimote.

I don't know what's more lame, that I still (contently) use the default charging cable to charge my PS3 controllers or that I'm enticed to purchase a sweet-looking charge station even if it does clutter my media center.

I see no issue with the standard cable. It's just a USB 2.0 cable. A smart move by Sony in my opinion.

At least it isn't anything moronic like the proprietary X360 charging cable or the wiimotes COMPLETE lack of a reliable charging solution.

I like the standard cable too. I've got a lot of mini usb cables lying around, any one of them works. I can also plug it into my computer to charge it if I don't want to have the PS3 on.

@Proton RE: Xbox Charging: So moronic because it comes default with AAs? Or so moronic because it charges whilst the console is off? Or perhaps so moronic because I can change the pack to suit my needs ie. Rechargeable or battery pack?

I should work harder trying to avoid your flames.

Aren't these those clowns that tried to sell a cheap gun controller?

I will probably pick up that Triple Port Charger depending on the price.

The only thing that would make me buy a set of Move Controllers is if Sony releases a Lefty version, i.e. a Move Globe controller with an analog stick and a "Navigation" controller with buttons. Otherwise I can't use them properly.
