A modern update of isometric cyborg sim Syndicate is presumed to be the surviving half of a planned two-game collaboration between EA and Starbreeze Studios. As noted by Superannuation, EA filed three new "Syndicate" trademark registrations in August concerning "video game software," "electronic computer games" and, in one case, "collectable toy figures."
Rumors of a new Syndicate sprang up over a year ago, and a document from the U.S. Copyright Office recently linked the Syndicate name to both EA and Chronicles of Riddick developer Starbreeze Studios. While the publisher has never made an official announcement, original Syndicate designer Sean Cooper stated in June 2009 that several "misguided" attempts to revisit the sci-fi franchise had been made since it debuted in the early 90s.
Fans are likely to share Cooper's skepticism, especially if the marketing department signs off on Syndicate as a free download exclusive to every new copy of Dante's Inferno 2: Farewell to Frying Pan.

I loved syndicate back in the day, man they seriously need to bring more Cyberpunk games and start toning down the post apocalyptic phase.

Oh man, that NBA Jam thing still pisses me off... I would've bought it, but oh well.
Now, offcourse if they'd bundle Syndicate with a game I DO like, now that's a different story, although I could understand someone being upset about it too.

Following the lead of X-com, the new Syndicate takes place in the 1980s and stars a young up-and-coming gangster/rap star as his gang tries to take control of the drug trade in Los Angeles.
Needless to say, gameplay is a cover based third person shooter, and all weapons are some variation of pistol, shotgun, sub machine gun, or assault rifle.

@Ben79
The real Shadowrun game on was on Genesis, sir. If you liked the SNES version, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Isometric gaming makes me think of Crusader No Remorse, No Regret.
I want more of those games!
In it's day, No Regret was noted to be very violent. In today's world,
it would be even better (hi res human liquidation!)

I'm not familiar with the old Syndicate games, but if it is by Starbreeze, I will buy it.
