Sonic and Knuckles RC cars make All-Stars Racing (sort of) real

The latest Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing toys are a lot easier to acquire than the Ryo Hazuki forklift figure, requiring only a trip to Toys R Us and $25 (each). These actually move, too! Sadly, there's no Ryo among them -- it's just Sonic and Knuckles this time.
NKOK is releasing two radio-controlled cars this month, featuring Sonic in his Speed Star and Knuckles in his Land Breaker. They'll be in Toys R Us and Sears Canada stores this month. If you pick these up, you'll be able to design your own personalized Sonic game (a racing game set in your house, basically) -- and this time, the quality of the game will be entirely up to you.

That's actually kinda cool. I'd like to hack it so I could use a quality RC controller.

When will they make an RC car with me as the driver? I'd pay good money for that...hell I'd even take a Nathan Drake driving a jeep as long as it has my voice.

I believe with Small Brawl came out there was a limited patch of his SB car.

Yes, that joke's been made ... a lot :)

It's a kart racing game, not a running game. Sonic is in a car for the same reason you can't try to race in Formula 1 race on foot. I believe the official reason is that it would be unfair to the racers if he wasn't in a car.

Since my friend has the Mario RC Kart, I'll be getting the Sonic RC Kart so that we can reenact the classic 16-bit era rivalry between Mario and Sonic the Hedghehog. Granted that it'll be in RC kart format, but a rivalry is still a rivalry.
