I still can't get over the fact that they are really selling this with only 4GB of storage! That'll hold about a couple saves and tetris.

I really didn't understand that at first, either. I thought that maybe it had 4GB ram or something.

@tenacioustoaster Yes, most game saves on the 360 and PC are clearly in the 1.5GB range. It's ridiculous.

A lot bigger than the 512MB that came with the arcade that I bought long ago.

Since the 250GB is a "Hard Drive", what kind of 4GB is it anyway if it's called "4GB Memory"? RAM? USB flash drive?

In an earlier post it said flash drive. A 4GB flash drive retails about 10-15, so it's cheap. A lot cheaper compared to proprietary memory cards

A game save is typically what? A megabyte? Even less...

Anyway you can expand storage for cheap now with just a flash drive.

@tenacioustoaster 4GB is a huge upgrade from the 512MB the Arcade 360 had previously. The console went from 0MB -> 256MB -> 512MB -> 4GB.

The only downsides to getting the 4GB is that you can't really use the console for game demos or a lot of DLC. I think 4GB is a lot for XBLA games, especially if you add a cheap USB drive for extra storage.

@Resident Evil 6 Puppie Madness In any case the 4GB is not marketed towards a hardcore gamer like you. It's obviously for a casual gamer who plays every now and then.

What's ridiculous is the fact that you claim save game files are in the 1.5gb range. Be realistic and stop exagerating.

Most saves game files are in the 1mb-20mb range. 4gb is actually more then enough to save several hundred save game files.

@(Unverified) Yea, I caught that too, and I'm more interested in the black chatpad.

As to the wireless headset: doesn't fully stay on my ear, battery's charge is for crap, and the sound quality isn't all that hot.

Then again, it's black. Gotta coordinate!

@Themoreyouknow I love my wireless headset. It was garbage at launch (back when COD2 was the big game to play) but was solid after s firmware patch in 2006.

The 2nd image doesn't say it comes with those accessories. The top image is probably like current Xbox box art: It just shows you available accessories to purchase.

I gotta disagree with you there buddy. Kinect is $150 by itself and usually adding a bigger HD Sku adds like $50-100 to the price so....yeah. It's probably going to be $500.

Nvm. I was thinking something else. Forget my previous comment. But it definitely is going to be at least $150 more.

now that I think about it you're right......the 250GB SKU is $299 without Kinect isn't it? So it will be at least $399....and if they throw some other stuff in there it will go up higher....but anyways,.for some reason I was thinking about the 320/500GB HDD....tho I'm not sure a 360 with that big of a drive will be out this year.....tho I think a PS3 may...

The Arcade is normally $199, but bundles with Kinect for $299.

It stand to reason that the elite, which is normally $299, will bundle for $399 with Kinect.

@Grey The HDD models are always $100 more that the non hard drive models so im guessing $400 since the Kinect 4GB bundle is $300.

More interesting. I'd kind of like the updated 360, but can't quite talk myself into it yet. I'm slightly tempted to get Kinect if only for my gf's daughter, but will probably wait for more games that interest me to pull the trigger.

Getting both combined with a price break on Kinect _might_ push me into a purchase.

I'd also not mind the matte finish (might prefer) if the HD price was reasonable.

@Ballistic H It could be for that bundle only.. because I didn't get on either.. I used the hdmi I got with my Elite 120, until I got a 1.3.. just sucks that only the dashboard & blurays are the only 1080 input I've experienced so far.. I have both Uncharteds, Heavy Rain, LBP, T:WFC, they all display in 720p.. only my 360 does it all in 1080p - except for those IGN & Inside Xbox type streams.. not sure about DVDs, I don't think I've watched a DVD all year

I know Microsoft is a business but they really have to wake up and stop overcharging for Hard Drives. You can buy a TB for about $100. I know they want a 'cheap bundle for Kinect' but at least include 20 gig thats a good starting HD size. They can still make tons of profit without screwing over the consumer.

Then MS will probably make an "Ultra" or "Elite" model with more memory or something then make it $500 or $600
