I'm curious about changing out the hard drives in these... I'm under the impression you can still do it, but I don't see how the ones MS sells now would fit.

@Softserve

Presumably they will sell new ones in a different form factor, no idea what they will cost though.

I'm actually wondering... Since the HDD inside of the Current Hard drives are Sata... and the HDD that goes into the Slip is Sata; would it work if you take apart your current HDD and slap it in the Slim. Technically it still has the saved Xbox Data on it so there is no need to reformat it, and cache new Information on it; as its is already there...

There's no certainty that the system will include the headset or the chatpad.

The box shown in that image is the 4GB box. If the side panel stats are correct, the 4GB does *not* come with a headset, whereas the features list for the 250GB console DOES mention a headset - but no chatpad.

Given that the image shows a controller, chatpad, and wireless headset, my guess is that the box there is an ad to "buy accessories!" and nothing more.

@coil

I doubt it comes with a headset. Kinect pushes headset-less chat, so a headset would be redundant.

To be honest i think it'd be better to buy the currently available 250gb and wait for kinetc to drop to a reasonable price or at least be worth buying rather than get the bundle.

i understand that the 4GB in the core model is plenty enough room for game saves, but if i were to get the 4GB core and wanted to download map-packs/other dlc would i be able to save that to a flash drive?

what xbox files are savable on a flash drive? is it only game saves? thanks.

@zlliM
i ask because i think the core 4GB would be a steal if you were to use the 4GB for system files/game saves and then just buy 16GB flash drives for dlc, depending on how much you dl

@zlliM You can save any Xbox files to a flash drive: installed games, DLC, saves, videos, your profile, etc.

a 4 gig xbox 360 with eyetoy i mean... natal? aren't 360 games HUGE and need 6 or 7 DVD-9 Disks to play them?

@PerfectCyanide
First of all, you don't need to install 360 games. So regardless of how many DVD there are it wouldn't effect the small HDD issue.

2nd of all, there is no such thing as game with7 - 9 DVDs on the xbox 360 (isn't there? most my xbox games are 1 DVD)

and lastly, it's Kinect not NATAL!!

I really hope it's just 350 bucks, but I doubt. Too bad, a 350 REAL console (4GB and no headset is hilarious) with Kinect would be a killer bundle, the best way to popularize the new thingy.

Quoting Alexander Sliwinski:
The 250GB model also has the following note: "Hard Drive includes game and demos." The demos we're used to, but it seems that Microsoft may be foregoing an extra disc and putting the pack-in game on the hard drive itself.

The included game would be "Hexic HD" that has come on every Xbox HDD since launch.

Also, does anyone know if the 360 S 250GB as currently released has a 4GB capacity if you take the HDD out? Or is it different?
