For buying EA's latest pigskin sim for Xbox 360 or PS3 at the retailer next week, you'll be able to get another game (from a list of select titles) for half off its usual price. Heck, even if you don't like football, this deal's enough to convince a friend who does to let you tag along on their purchase.

im actually a madden fans who buys it yearly but decided i was going to skip a year last year, so im so hyped for madden 11 its not even funny, i wont feel non of the negative effects of them doing a little bit of work every year

I don't even like American Football, but I tried the demo and the Gameflow feature really clicked with me. I may pick this up, once I can find it for 30'ish.

yeah, the last madden game I bought was 07 on my PSP so 11 on my PS3 is gonna be wonderful. And yeah, the demo really was awesome. Gameflow is pretty intuitive. This is a pretty good deal too since I wanted brutal legend but wanted to wait for the price to drop, and $10 is a steal!

If you're a Best Buy Gamer Zone Reward Zone member, make sure you preorder the game this weekend too. You can still earn 500pts, $10 Reward Zone certificate, just for preordering and can still take advantage of this sale.

True, but if you preorder sometimes the Reward Zone site screws up and gives you two 500 Bonus points. I had that happen on the Crackdown 2 preorder.

Wish I could do that, as well...

I love the way madden looks. But the way it plays, I'm sorry. Just not the same anymore, no control, and slow. I don't feel like I'm playing the game, at all. I know most may disagree. Just my two cents.

I agree, I seems more like a strategy game now than a football sim. I used to love Madden, NFL 2K, and NFL Blitz years ago.

I know!!! Them titles were amazing! I still don't think that they ever made a real legit madden on the next gen consoles. I have more fun playing madden on xbox and ps2. NFL 2K was amazing. 2k really should come back and challenge madden like they did w/NBA2k and how they killed Live.

Yeah, I would love for 2K to make a new NFL game, but EA has the NFL license so you can forget about that for now. I do remember I read something from a while ago that EA may lose exclusive rights to the license. Let's just hope they do, competition is good.

i honestly believe that EA will just extend it again. I mean whats there to stop them? The NFL seem to enjoy the current position they are in in regards to Video game football.

I'm sure that they will. However, I don't mind them having it, I just wish that they would actually make a real game that you can actually play like back in the day. I feel that the Madden on the older consoles were more of a game then today's. Only thing today's madden have on the former is that it looks amazing. But the physics of the game just isn't there for me.

Alan Wake for $20 is good for me. I don't want Madden and I don't think I can return it and keep Alan Wake, so I'll probably sell it on eBay or something.

Except for God of War 3, all the $20 games are way, way better than the $30 ones.

I mean JC2 and AP are okay games but jesus! Bioshock 2, ME2, ACII, I'd expect the prices to be the other way around.

i am so confused on where to go for the midnight launch of this game. I mean . . . is wal-mart really having madden tournaments for there midnight releases, and are the 20,000 coins that gamestops giving out gonna be worth it, or should i just say forget all that stuff and go for this deal??

I was actually going to get it this year too! I haven't bought madden since 08 and now I am definitely going to get it.

Joystiq, I think the price cuts are the price when you buy Madden, Its hard to read the fine print above the games.

It's too bad you have to buy Madden to get the discount on the other games. I'd just assume buy the other games. And well, I bought Madden last year. I guess they need an incentive to keep getting people to buy year after year.

@Starcade Madden doesn't need to add any incentives, people gobble it up no matter how stale it is. Each retail chain needs to add it's own incentives so people purchase their copy of Madden there and not somewhere else.

You can also get an extra 500 Reward Zone points when you buy it too. That's a $10 gift card. The only bad thing is that you have to wait about a month to receive it though.

I hope we get another offer like this when fifa 11 comes out.

@xchaoszerox Yeah same. I hope there's a fifa 11 deal. I normally wait til multiple reviews come out before buying a game and never pre-order but I did pre-order fifa 10 (the first time ever) after seeing video footage and man did it ever deliver. It's by far the best fifa game ever made and loads of fun. Excited to see what's coming up in fifa 11 though if it's stale I'll just stick with fifa 10 for another year.

Most of these combos are still a better deal if you buy Madden through Amazon and get the $20 credit.

Madden $60 + Dragon Age +15 + tax = $82

Amazon
Madden $60 + Dragon Age $27 - $20 credit (on DA) = $67

Amazon has release date delivery on Madden, so you do get it on day 1 (honestly, do people still not know this about Amazon?).

Madden Arcade only helps the deal if you actually want that game, which from the demo most people don't. And even if you do it still comes out more expensive than just going the Amazon route and buying Madden Arcade at full price on top of it.

It would be nice if those prices are stand-alone prices --- but I really can't see myself spending $60 on Madden 11.

Now if they had a similar deal where you buy Starcraft II and get any of those games at that price, that would be worth it.

Just buy madden and the other game, and return Madden the next day. a bit time consuming, but it works
