Videos?

How would you even do that for DLC that isn't even downloadable yet? I'm curious as to how they pulled this off.

Pretty cool though, otherwise. Hopefully all the DLC will be included in the inevitable PSN release.

Lives were lost, I'm assuming...

No. But seriously, I just bet he's being a dick and lying about it.

89% chance that all the "DLC" is in the game's initial download (like what Capcom did with Megaman 9 and Megaman 10), and Konami will be just releasing "DLC" unlock codes. Once all the built-in "DLC" is "unlocked," expect no more updates.

@Snorlax:
Did you see the videos? That'd be pretty damn hard to lie about.

Oh, I misread it. I thought the post said that this man claimed he said he saw the videos. Just saw them now, starting to have second thoughts.

With the addition of the younger version of Maria, they've now gone as far back as the TurboGrafx for asset recycling. I mean, Rondo of Blood still looks great to this day, but reusing a sprite from 17 years ago... the sprite is older than the character!

However, her "Hymn" attack being Bloody Tears is a nice touch.

Oh, I TOTALLY called Maria! GO ME!

...too bad there's no physical evidence of it anywhere... :'(

(At least I can still brag to my friends!)

Julius sounds awesome. I was guessing it was gonna be Maria and Richter, but I think we all knew a Belmont would be included eventually.

That looks like a straight copy/paste job of one of the areas in Portrait of Ruin.

It gave me a case of déjà vu... especially since I'm just replaying PoR as Richter/Maria.

Isn't the whole game a straight copy/paste job of earlier Castlevanias?

After playing the demo, I don't think the game is that bad, but it's not worth $15. If it ever gets on the deal of the week, I might get it it seems like a nice time waster. But even then, I can't see myself putting additional money into it for DLC.

rar, I'm hoping they will be reasonable with the pricing of this DLC, I've enjoyed this quiet a bit with my friends! Sure it's kinda grindy, the metroidvania style stages are absolutely delicious, it's regrettable that there just isn't more of them. My only issue if it kind of feels like with a month or two more of polish, and a few more stages, it wouldn't have been getting any flack.

It would make sense for them to release this kind of DLC. I mean, all they have to do is copy and paste more random stuff from the older castlevanias.

lol, come on don't hold a grudge against me, because of supreme commenter owo; I don't mean any harm, it's certainly not constant, and I like to think my posts have actually have some reason behind them outside of simply being a chance to squeeze a "rar" out, unlike Mr. SC.

I question though if I add an avatar here, I wonder if/how long it'll be til he switches to it, lol.

But on topic, I was a little sad to see none of the default characters was a classic Belmont. But it doesn't seem like they were planning on doing any sprite editing for this project from the feel of it T_T'

I wouldn't be surprised if they used Simon's NES sprites at this point...

So the six-player multiplayer game will finally have at least 6 characters?

@Seroth No.
It's going to have Seven Characters now.
One person is going to be left out of the party.

And they could finally use that Leon Belmont sprite from Portrait of Ruin.
Of course they'd have to remake every other required sprite other than just whipping.
