And I think after news like this, I've run out of pants to wear. Therefore, I am unable to go out and buy a pair. Therefore, it's time for someone to send me some in the mail.

@Captain Planet Planeteer Power I need to go get you an autograph from Mr. Nick Boxer, producer and alleged facial inspiration for Captain Planet.

Pssshhhttt...you got it the other way around. God used me as inspiration when creating Nick Boxer. I was created the instant the word "Awesome™" was said.

Actually Gaia pooped me out.

Surprising they're letting you play as the "original" sith race... can't wait to see the narrative for that one.

@Xoonaka That'll be amazing. And I am surprised as well. That's a huge part of Star Wars history they're taking on. I am really looking forward to the narrative.

Red humans, blind humans, green humans and red humans with horns. How about some non-humanoid species like, uh... hutts?

I can't really imagine hutts leaping about slashing at things with a lightsaber.

@harusame

There's a reason you can't play as Hutts in this game. It would resemble today's stereotype of the typical MMO player. Fat, lazy, rolls around to get from point A to point B, etc. The whole point of an MMO is to escape reality and immerse yourself in a world where you can do the impossible and be someone else. Having the Hutts in this game would be counterproductive.

@harusame I'm excited for the game, but I gotta say, I agree. I was hoping for some alien species that actually LOOK alien. Considering all the options there are in the SW universe, it's surprising that we get red, green, and blind human-looking races. Although there's still plenty more time before the game comes out, so hopefully there'll be more announcements to come!

Am I missing something here?

Arent the Sith (race) extinct?
I think Vesas or whatever she was called was a Miraluka and most of her race died out too...
Wonder how they will explain how all of a sudden an extinct and near extinct race becomes common

If I make a Sith character can he be a Jedi? Or would Sith be restricted to just being Sith?

Wow, that's confusing.

@bongoes Just "Sith" in the essence of TOR refers to the faction. The other faction is the "Republic." Within the Sith faction there are two force wielding classes, Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor. With the Republic there are two force wielding classes: Jedi Knight, or Jedi Consular. Jedi have always worked for the republic.

So if you're a "Sith" you can be the Sith equivalent of a Jedi. But you can not be a "Jedi". They are both force using however.

This is quite exciting! Sure, I would love to see more "non-humanoid" species but this is good. Plus anyway, we've already got Twi'lek! Who doesn't want to be one of them? I'm serious!
