You should have flipped the image. He should be driving on the right ;)

The UK, Ireland, and Cyprus are the only European countries that drive on the left. The majority of vehicles in mainland Europe are Left Hand Drive.

@Arsenic13
Last time I checked people in the UK drive on the right hand side of the car?...

@Arsenic13 No the picture fits the topic perfect because in europe when driving a car you sit on the left as the driver .

IGN is completely wrong on this one, it's legitimately an excellent game and (even though I might get downvoted for this) it's still the leader for my GOTY, even over Mass Effect 2. Glad to see Europe gets the chance to play it, still unfortunate Sonyfriends won't get to try to play it though.

I loved this game. It would have been hailed a classic if released years ago, but controls and graphics from the past seem to have left many gamers and they cant go back. I on the other hand have no issue with slightly awkward controls and last gen graphics. Substance means more to me.

@Ratfoot'

ME2 does not deserve goty by any stretch of the imagination. After playing the first one so much and enjoying the hell out of it, it's easy to see where they screwed up with ME2. It was basically ME1 Lite w/ more forced romance options (the worst and most contrived part of the ME series). The only improvement in that game was the shooting and cover system. It was a good game, but a step down from ME1.

/rant

Anyway, Glad to hear Deadly Premonition is headed to the hands of more people.

IGN. Heh. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/738/738253p1.html I like how they added 'Another Take' to save face.

@NemesisCW The game was stuck in my head so much that I got my school to use the Whistle theme for our admissions video. I play the freshman.

Haven't played it, but watched the GBER. It is legitimately a good game; good story, good... other things. It sucks for Europe that they're paying 40 buckaroos a half year after it came out (or a full year?) but at least the option's there. I strongly recommend y'all get it.

The music is pretty awesome, too. *whistles*

I never understood why this game wasn't released on the PS3 outside of Japan.

I never played it, but I watched BOTH runs of Giant Bomb's "Endurance Run" segments of the entire game. It's so bad, the game benefits from having people joke and mock at it as it's going on. Sort of like Mystery Science Theater 3000, only with a vidyagame.

Kinda bad that the price point is so high. Though the game is still better than most out now anyways. The big thing I learned is that game review sites don't like anything outside of the box, at least the big ones.

I still need to pick this up, been alternating between watching Twin Peaks and playing Alan Wake, and it's definitely got me in the mood for more in that vein.

Congratulations, Europe. You will finally be able to play the Game of the Year 2010.

...I'm curious to how the boxart looks in Europe.

It's called Red Dead Redemption. :)

Honestly? What can't people such as yourself go out clubbing or to the local pub and meet?? I'm sure your a lovely person and all but come on.. Whether this is a really bad attempt at an advert I still feel the need to bitch and moan at how sad people can get about this kind of shiz.. On a side note I'm an ign whore so I automatically take this game as bad.. Sad I know but I've grown up with their reviews, it would be ultimate betrayal to ignore a 2.0! :O

I've been watching Twin Peaks with my sister, and she really enjoys it. I'm wondering if I should just stop where the murder is solved, and preserve the show for her at its best, or slog through the embarrassing half of the series just to get to that fantastic finale...

This game is really...just...terrible. Being odd only has so much charm. Anyone who claims this is so bad it's good, and GOTY is playing a practical joke on you.

Deadly Premonition is one of the most unique games that I have played. The humor is captured perfectly, and I really enjoyed the timed events, which reminds me of the great times I had with Shenmue.
Though the open world is pretty barren (small town), the characters personality more than make up for it. It was a steal at $20 USD, and I would definitely recommend this over that rental Alan Wake.

This game is anything but terrible! Controls could use some work and look like something on the gamecube but the atmosphere, characters, and story all provided enough charm to keep me going. To me this was better then some big budget titles like Red Dead any day.

Bad controls
Bad localization
Bad voice acting
Bad graphics
Repetitive gameplay
