I don't know about everyone else, but I liked the old PS3 cases better. Still gonna be a great game though, regardless of what box it will come in.

I'd have to see how extensive that art book is and whether the game is good enough. $80 isn't THAT bad, but still a high price for my wallet.
I can say that Ayami Kojima has certainly drawn her way to my heart. I love the Castlevania artwork. My Portrait of Ruin collector's edition artbook is still stored in a safe place.

I usually never by these kinds of LE's because I'm just not interested in the extra tchotchkes but I'm definitely pre-ordering this one for only one reason:
Castlevania soundtracks are ALWAYS 100% AWESOME!
I even bought Curse of Darkness on release day for $50 just for the awesome pre-order bonus soundtrack, even though that game isn't very good.

Let's just say that for the price-tag it should be a 70-100 page art book, yet it's estimated at 30-40 pages. The soundtrack shouldn't be in a sleeve or in the case, yet I don't see any decent packaging for it. I don't use a CD player anymore though so the soundtrack doesn't appeal to me in a world where all my music is digital. So am I going to spend $20 more on a gimped limited edition? Especially one where the art book isn't larger than most pre-order bonus'? Maybe if it's fantastic but recent disappointments have led me to play it safe this year.
I guess I'd order it for the appeal of "collecting" but I don't agree with that mindset anymore so I think I'll just go with the regular edition.
Also, to be honest neither cover is especially impressive but at least they have some rich colors to them.

yeah, kinda scared to get this. I mean it's Castlevania. One of my favorite series ever.... but... it's 3D. It looks great, previews are saying it's great... but meeeeeeh. still gonna buy the game, but not biting on the preorder for this one....
btw, if those are exact sizes, looks like the art book has quite a few pages and is the same size as a normal case

I remember the days when MAYBE one good game would come out a month. We all afforded it, talked about it over recess and played it beyond completion. Now it's like I have to choose my strain of ecstasy and what limited edition packaging it comes in with exclusive pre-order bonuses with multiple exclusivities depending on which platform I choose!
Now that gaming is so mainstream, I can't afford enough cash or time to enjoy this hobby to it's full potential. I still have a backlog of PS2 games I want to START, including Persona 4.
