I'm so glad I couldn't embarrass myself via YouTube when I was really into DDR in high school. Good luck, kids of the future.

@PS1I still maintain the Konami Japanese devs in the conference buried their faces in a bag of coke and rubbed it into their gums so heavily none of them could speak ...

Is Dance Dance Revolution even relevant anymore?

Dance Central looks to be more the future, and you don't need a controller.

@ItsameMatt03

Well, I'm not sure that DDR and Dance Central are necessarily targetted towards the same market. Dance Central seems to be more about real dancing while DDR is more about precise timing and crazy arrow sequences, or freestyling. The people who are still playing DDR now are probably not going to give it up for Dance Central. It's kind of a niche market though.

Anyway, that's my opinion at least.

My mom's been waiting for this. I wonder if there's an easy enough setting for her. Never played DDR before but it looks insanely hard from the videos I've seen.

@SolidSnakeEyes Oops the press release says you can download songs via the PSN. Hope they aren't more than $1.99 and don't suck (like Singstar!)

@SolidSnakeEyes

Well, actually DDR songs go from the mind-boring easy to the "MY FEET ARE ON FIRE!!!" hard. Just put her on "1-foot" songs on Beginner.

Oh yeah I also need to know if there's gonna be downloadable songs like Rock Band, and with good support UNLIKE Singstar! I think I read last year that there'd be DLC.

Sounds good, especially song downloads (only 30 included = weak, but if you can download more I guess that's okay).

I just checked and there's a Cobalt Flux adapter for Wii and PS3 now (both in one). Awesome.

Very excite! Hopefully they don't make the Move mandatory like with Hottest Dance Party or whatever it was for the Wii. Such a terrible DDR game..

How about another 360 version?

Also, if they could re-release the songs that were
offered on the original X-Box version, both on the
discs and as DLC, I'd be happy, just as long as its
a fair price.

@gevenstaines
Why does your post not elucidate why DDR is the worst of the dance games? I will suspect you of trolling a DDR comment section if this is not cleared up. Similar games games like Pump It Up and Stepmania exist as well. As an on the fence purchaser, which do you recommend I buy? Are you comparing it to a more recently announced game like Dance Central? If that's the case, should I hold-off purchase and wait?
