Rock Band 3 Achievements charted

Rock Band 3 runs the gamut on its 1250 Achievement points (including DLC), as revealed by Xbox360Achievements.org. You'll get points for everything from calibrating your system to hitting all Triple Awesomes in three-part harmony on "Bohemian Rhapsody." 25G for me, for me, for meeeeeee!

Rock Band 2 is still the only retail game I've ever completed to 100% on either Xbox or PlayStation. Cannot wait for Rock Band 3, some of these look well fun ... save for them including another endless setlist achievement.

I've Platinum'd (Yeah, on PS3) 4 disc games so far, Rock Band 2 being one of them.

What games have you Platinum'd? That's an impressible number, wish I had more time to complete more games to 100%, but I have a backlog of games I need to even beat in the first place.

Hmm, typical music-game list. Guess they finally figured out adding achievements for DLC is a good idea (business-wise, anyways).

They managed to botch the reference in "HOPO-cidal Maniac" though ...

Its kind of bullshit, though. I don't want to play their crappy free songs, and I don't want to download any of their Harmonix bands.

I still hate how there are Pro Guitar achievements. I understand the use for achievements requiring all of the fake instruments, but the lowest guitar is $150, and I don't have the interest in learning the real thing enough to shell out that much for some achievements.

If it's achievements you're after, you can get some free programs for the computer to unlock whatever achievements you want. I never understood why people are willing to go buy a game just to get achievements.

Using external programs to unlock achievements is against the ToS and can get you banned, that's why.

The only way you'll get banned is if you give yourself 50,000 score in 1 day. Many people have been doing it for years and haven't been banned.

It's better than buying games just to get achievements, or even buying expensive peripherals

There are now achievements for DLC specific songs, or are those included on the disc? Also, Pro instrument achievements... looks like you'll spend quite a lot if you want all the points.

Hrmm... I feel kind of weird typing "achievements" when I'll be getting the game on PS3, Keyboard bundle, hopefully. I might get that Stratocaster Pro guitar if the price isn't to high. Like this is the first music game I'm getting, I guess I'll have to include drums and mic later on...

It looks like Harmonix is going to have downloadable Queen songs. Real Queen songs.

Looks like the list is setup to let you get the cheevos wit a real guitar or the button, i said looks like, im taking a guess. Either way, it looks more doable than previous ones.

whoever came up with these is a moron. I mean really? Calibrating ? Or going online? What are we achieving here, really? I bet there's one for " playing a song". Anyway, I love RB i hope i can use the same instruments for the RB3 i would definitely buy it.

Really? When there's achievements like "5 Star every song in Rock Band 3 on Expert"? Rock Band/Guitar Hero games are all fairly hard/time consuming to get all the achievements in.

And second of all, not all achievements need to be epic accomplishments. People take the title way too literally. They can be whatever the developer wants them to be.

A 'achievement or trophy whore" sir, for me, is a person that will do anything to get that said achievement, so one can presume time and or game difficulty is irrelevant.

I didn't say they had to be "epic", son. I just don't like the achievements that are easy. I like them to require some skill to get, that's all. No need to take it to the next level, my opinions don't need to be taken personally. And yes of course they can be whatever the developers wants them to be, i encourage that.

@Jacksy That's why altogether the calibration and connection achievements total 10G (4/6 apiece, respectively)--they're pretty much nothing-achievements. That's no more than, say, The Simpsons' "Press Start!" and 'Splosion Man's "Change the controls" achievements.

The other ones get more difficult.

To offer some insight, there is a 51 page argument on the Rock Band forums on whether these are real or fake.
I hope that these are just placeholders since some of them are just stupid.
Forcing me to play on easy? Making me buy DLC?
Also I think this is the most expensive game to get 1000/1000. You'll need the game + guitar+ bass + pro drums+ Pro Guitar+ Keyboard+ 3 mics= 450$+.

With the easy achievements it says you can play on a harder difficulty.

And about the price... you should of known that when they announced the game.

And alot of the dlc ach can be done by getting the track packs.

Plus if you are not buying dlc, you are playing this game wrong.

Kill 53,596 Hammer-ons and Pull-offs.

This is an awesome nod to Left 4 Dead's Zombicidal Maniac (kill 53,595 zombies) So much WIN there. :)

@(Unverified) It's actually called Zombie Genocidest, itself a reference to an achievement in Dead Rising called Zombie Genocider.

And Prototype already had an achievement for 53,596, so they kinda messed it up anyways.

Ugh...Pro Drum and Pro Guitar/Bass achievements? LAME. I'm not going to spend a few hundred bucks on more plastic peripherals.

I'm disappointed because this looks way too much like some of the Guitar Hero achievement lists.

It is also b.s. that they are going to have 210 points towards Pro mode. That's too many, in my opinion. I'd have been okay with up to maybe 100 points, that way people could at least get 900/1000 on the core gameplay, but this just screams of a money grab.

OMG... 4pt achievements? 6pt? I thought developers stopped doing that. At least these ones are easy to achieve.

Three metal 80's songs? Sounds like it's time for me to play through the Metallica pack again

ha, 'Dave Grohl Band'; Beat 5 songs from any band that has had Dave Grohl as a member.

That's even easier than calibrating your game.

Seriously? Finding 5 songs with Dave Grohl (for people who don't know who he is especially) is easier than calibrating which takes a minute of your time in which all you do is strum whenever you hear a beep or whenever a note crosses the hit line? Exaggerate much?

(For the record, Dave Grohl has played in the Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Tenacious D, and Them Crooked Vultures to name a few.)

I spent hours calibrating RB2, never felt right. then as soon as I was getting close.. I upgraded my HDTV.. If they're adding 'pro' achievements, they'd best be actually shipping post-RB1 instruments into the EU this time..

Calibrate your system is such an achievement :D
