Warren Spector really wants to make a DuckTales game
70
When we talked to Warren Spector back at E3 this year, he specifically named the Capcom's DuckTales as one of his favorite Disney games. In a new interview with Industry Gamers, he now says that, "A day does not go by where I don't tell somebody at Disney: 'Uncle Scrooge, come on! Donald! Huey, Dewey, and Louie! Come on, let me do a duck game!' So yeah, I would love to do a duck game."
Of course, being the animation geek that he is, Spector prefers the Carl Barks version of Uncle Scrooge and the nephews, so we probably won't get any Fenton Crackshell cameos (even though that would be awesome). If Epic Mickey does take off, you never know what franchise Disney may let Spector put his own spin on next.

This would be the greatest thing ever. I love the show and everything, but having finally picked up the dvds, I'm having a hard time making myself watch them. Here's to hoping he gets to make it.
I'd kill for a new game based on McCay's Little Nemo as well.

The DVD's are great. I had a hard time not just watching them straight through when I picked them up.

YES. Make this happen.
If Warren Spector has the moon level with the music from that level but remade, it would be a Day 1 Purchase.
And toss in emulated versions of DuckTales FIRST & 2.

Epic Mickey will not be so epic... maybe someone more worthy should handle Duck Tales... maybe Ducksworth.

Darkwing Duck had a game on the NES. I still have the Nintendo Power where it was unveiled. It was basically a re-skinned megaman game, but it was pretty awesome at the time.

And I REALLY want Warren Spector to make that game.
It's so strange that Disney and even Warner Brothers have so far passed on thsi Nostalgia craze, when they should be the ones embracing it the most.
We who grew up on it are starting to have kids, and if I had kids I would introduce them to DuckTales way over Philbis and Pherb or whatever that crap is.

@(Unverified) - What would make it even more awesome is if he brings modern Duck master (and Carl Barks superfan) Don Rosa on as a consultant/writer. That would ensure a day one purchase from me!

@Dante G I'm sure the writing is good. (Turns on old man mode)
My problem with all these modern cartoons are the art. So much time and money went into all those Disney cartoons, that just don't compare to todays toons. All the news ones all have those hard angular lines, with no shading for any of the characters and insipid character design.
It all started with Fairly Odd Parents. A funny show but bland bland bland animation. Since then everyone realized they can make cartoons cheap looking and no one will care. It's like the second coming of Hannah Barbera.
I also approve of bringing Don Rosa on board. Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck is an absolute masterpiece in how it took all of Barks loose ends and tied them up into an actual living Duck Universe. The man is a genius and Disney royally screwed him over.

When I was a kid, licensed games didn't suck like now... we had great games like Chip & Dale, DuckTales, Batman, The Lion King, Aladdin, Mickey Mouse games, Darwin Duck...
