Dragon Age 2 arrives March 8 in US, March 11 in Europe

Dragon Age 2 has been given a March 8 release date for the US and March 11 in Europe at this morning's EA press conference at GamesCom. That's about one month late, according to the liner provided with Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening!
GamesCom attendees will be among the first folks to get their hands on the game, as it's publicly available to try out at the event this week in Germany. With any luck, the PS3 folks who have yet to play BioWare's other epic RPG sequel -- Mass Effect 2 -- will be ready to move on to DA2 by the time March rolls around.

I played this game at comic con. It was awesome, i got to sit down with the head designer guy and play a 30 min scene. The console version was great! They removed auto aim on it so you are acually a part of the action and doing combos n such. Graphics were up'd big time! I cant wait

Does #2 read anything from the saves of #1? I never got around to playing the first one.

With this and Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3 looks like Bioware is going to be taking a lot of my monies early on in 2011. When is TOR coming out? damn you bioware and my ever growing back log of games!

I think it's way too early for Bioware to be asking for reservations. I loved Dragon Age and I look forward to DA2, but it's going to take more than a trailer to convince me to put money down on a game I know next to nothing about.
I'm going to wait for promotions from rivaling stores as well (Best buy, Amazon, etc) before choosing who I'm going to buy the game from. I bought the original for a great promotional price and got a ton of goodies, which became available a month prior to the release. IMO, reserving now is just way too early.
