The DLC will be up for grabs for a month?
or
You will have access to the DLC content for a period of one month which will then expire?

I've never heard of XBLA DLC expiring before, so I'd certainly assume the price will be 0 points for a month, until they start charging. What I'm wondering is whether or not you'll need the game to download it. I wasn't necessarily planning on picking this up so soon.

@gnark1ll420 It doesn't 'expire' in the same sense. They pulled it off the Marketplace after Disney bought Marvel. They made it available again for a limited time but due to licensing it will be pulled at the end of the year.

For a $15 game, I sure hope the DLC is $5 or less for each pack.

Even $5 seems a little much, considering there will be 5 packs total.

@VIDEOGAMES

Cripes, 40 bucks for an XBLA game and the accompanying add-ons is really pushing it.

@Mach2

Not if those $40 for the combined game and DLCs means it brings about 10-15 hours of online co-op Tomb Raider goodness. Most games these days last between 6-8 hours and retail at $60.

This is assuming they are $5 for each pack, which any higher and no one will buy em.

The online component is missing = incomplete.

@xreadmore

Which is why they're offering the DLC for free, as a kind of repentance.

Prince of Persia (the artsy one) was $60, didn't include dying, and held your hand the entire way through the 6 hour game.

After that, I think publishers are completely justified in charging $15 for a six hour arcade game without online coop, especially when it's going to be added in for free and have a free DLC pack because the coop had to be delayed.

What isn't worth $15 is the three hour-long Limbo. It was fun, but the price is way too steep.

@Acosta02
Adding free DLC at a time TDB does not make the current incomplete offering complete. I'm not saying free DLC isn't great, just agreeing with the fact that this game is not finished.

@AZRoboto Agree with everything except the Limbo part, but that's just because I love that game.

People here never seem to be satisfied with anything and always look for stuff to complain about. The game's $15 and currently has a metacritic of 88% and runs for 5+ hours by review accounts. What the hell more do you guys want?

That's really cool, even though I think they just want to make sure us XBOX users don't delay our purchase till it's for sale...

Anyway, the game looks awesome, I'm totally getting it. =)

"Square Enix didn't announce a release date for the DLC, but it wouldn't be much of a conciliatory measure if it didn't arrive before the September 28 release of the online patch."
So even though they're giving away the content for free even though they didn't really have to, you'll still complain if it comes out after the patch? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
