the track list actually sounds pretty good. but alas i dont care for GH at all. ill just wait for RB to get the rest of the songs that it doesn't already have from this list.

@KiDPANDA I hate to be that guy too but I've been burned by GH enthusiasm to many times in the past. I'll stick with the RB Platform. It may have only 83 tracks but after yesterdays keyboard preview I'm very excited. It was revealed there were another 80 songs created just for helping you learn how to play. Harmonix gets it in my opinion and I can't wait to see what else RB3 has.

GH is cool and all but as a heavy use Rhythm gamer I want more then just a disc with new tracks.

from the past GH iterations this article actually caught my interest only because of a small handful of tracks. im sure some/ most of these will find thier way to RB platform like many other songs. And im also way to excited for the RB3 Piano to even want to bother with GH. The GH games do not offer anything new at all. period.

Hell yeah.
I counted about 4 songs that aren't already available for RB that I want.
In addition, there's no Nickelback in RB.

I wonder if you can play all parts of 2112 as one song?Playing a 20 min song would be crazy.

@kvn7918

Because of disc space limitations, they couldn't put 2112 as one whole song. Also, the developers were well aware of the inclusion of a 22 minute song and what the consequences would be for online play. They wisely decided it would be the biggest "rage quit" song in the entire game.

There's a chance they'll put the full song as a DLC after the release. But for the sake of the game, you have to play each part as it comes up for the Quest Mode.

Yeah really, they were an amazing live band. Met the singer twice and couldn't believe it when he died. Def had some issues but its great that more people will find out about Snot with this game.

I'm a big fan of both games but come on...
Nickelback?
My Chemical Romance?...

I never thought I'd live to see the day that The Dillinger Escape Plan is featured in a rhythm game. I may be choosing Guitar Hero over Rock Band for the first time ever. Well played Activision!

It's too bad they chose one of their technically simple songs. I was hoping some day for The Dillinger Escape Plan to have the crown for hardest rhythm game track!

Too bad it'll probably be a crappy re-record like every other Third Eye Blind song available on Guitar/Rock Band. The Jumper re-record is alright, but the Semi-Charmed Life one is just bleh.

There's "Semi-Charmed Life" on GH: Van Halen, and "Can You Take Me," "Losing a Whole Year," and "Never Let You Go" as DLC.

Rock Band has Jumper, Semi-Charmed Life, and Never Let You Go on the Rock Band Network.

I'll eat my previous words about this awful track list, it is not complete crap... They are up to 12 songs I would be mildly interested in, assuming I would ever buy this instead of RB3. Will this be the time RB finally outsells GH?

Because "Warriors of Rock" refers to the characters of the game and their quest to free the Demi-God of Rock.

I didn't make it up. That's what it is. The bands themselves are not the warriors (except for Tom Petty -- remember, he was a resistance fighter in "The Postman" with Kevin Costner).

I'm not a fan of GH but these songs are the very definition of rock.

If I was to introduce somebody to rock and roll, I would show them this game.

I would not show them what RB3 has to offer so far.

So FOB is the worst band in this entire setlist? I'd have to disagree.

If they got rid of every Megadeth song and replaced them FOB tracks I'd be happy, but I'm not going to be a jackạss and act like Megadeth is a terrible band.

Honestly, will people QUIT WITH PUTTING BAT COUNTRY IN THESE GAMES! Holy shit. I'm getting so sick of it, as if me already being so sick of it that I skip it every time I listen to CoE wasnt' enough now I've got these asses shoving it down my throat. Avenged has SO many better songs for games like these just off of City of Evil, let alone the rest of their collection, go grab some of those and earn yourself some respect for crying out loud. (Like M.I.A.) Bat Country is so old that it's partner release day single from CoE, Beast and the Harlot, was in GH2! GH2! That's three or four games and 5 years ago. STOP! PLEASE!

Nickleback and Fall Out Boy and only 1 Pantera song and you claim you are trying to make things tougher for the core fans? I'm Broken isn't even a HARD Pantera song and Rock Band has A WHOLE ALBUM from them. That officially drops this game down to things that are never worth my time. The best thing to come out of Canada, Rush, is officially offset by the worst thing to come out of anywhere, Nickleback. Why would I want to play a song by a band that is consistently booed off the stage? Especially when one of those incidents involved people throwing rocks at them? (Look it up on YouTube, straight hilarious)

First off, on the set list as a whole, how many of those songs are ALL READY in Rock Band and how many don't even evoke even the slightest notion of Warriors of Rock? A lot of them. How hard is it to find songs that haven't been in a game anymore, or at least haven't been in this series.

They are, again, talking about making things harder and in this game they have no Trivium, no All That Remains, no Killswitch, no In Flames. They don't have Testament, they don't have Mastodon, and they don't have Iron Maiden. How about some Paul Gilbert, why doesn't someone try and get some Paul Gilbert in here? How about As I Lay Dying for drum tracks? Buckethead? Van Halen? Oh, that's right, you just made a shitty game for them instead of putting their songs in a game we might care about. Dream Theater? Where is the Dream Theater, they've had them in the past. At least they've got Hendrix in thi... oh wait... they don't. How about some indy and progressive Rock/Metal. That would be perfect because those people really do fight for their music. I mean, I could go on but it isn't going to change the fact that they aren't there at all.

Upping the number of tracks from the normal 80 something doesn't help either. This is still just another GH set list with a handful of great songs coupled by excess of songs that make you want to jump off a bridge because they are so BAD.

Wow, the Snot track makes my day. One of the most underrated bands ever, mainly due to the name and their singer dying after only one album. Listening to it now would probably remind you of all the shitty bands to come that tried to emulate their sound but nobody ever came close to their sound. Seriously the only band to fuse hardcore punk and pseudo-jazz and make it work.
