The developers took heed of the bad reaction to the new look of Cole, so are changing it to be more gritty and closer to the original. I believe they will still make changes so he will be about halfway between the new and old.
I didn't really take much notice of his face anyway. I was having too much fun lobbing electricity grenades over the side at the innocent victims in the city, as I grinded the trail rails (good ol' evil path).

Praise the Lord/Buddah/FSM/whatever. I would like the original (or at least close to) VA back, but I can accept changing VAs as a part of game making as that is dependent on humans which you have no control over.
So glad they're making it look like Cole again (but skinnier it seems which is fine, at least it resembles him now). Game now upgraded to "purchase".

See the old Gears of War trailer from a few years ago with the haunting song from the end of Donnie Darko.
Or the new (3-4 mos. ago?) Gears trailer with the indie, alt-country song.
Or you can just mute it and go back to listening to your Blink-182 radio station on Pandora... (just kidding. I hope.)

Well, he has short sleeves now, and a little more hair, and I can guarantee he still has the new voice (though I don't mind that), but It's definitely a lot closer to the Cole we all know and love. I most definitely approve.
Also, I rather enjoyed the display of Lightning Storm. best power ever.
