In addition to the usual running around in squads shooting the bad guys, this footage shows something we wished Killzone 2's multiplayer featured but never did: the ability to use giant powered exoskeletons to smash your opponents. (The single-player mode's jetpacks are in there, too.) Sadly, the exoskeleton doesn't appear to transform into a jeep or other vehicle -- that's for Killzone 4, obviously. For now, we'll just have to make do with what you can see in the video after the break.
Killzone 3 multiplayer trailer power-armors up

Sony couldn't possibly stage its Gamescom 2010 press conference without spotlighting its FPS mega-sequel, Killzone 3. So we've gotten a new trailer for the game -- the same one screened for attendees -- that provides a first glimpse at the new game's multiplayer component in action. Big, metal, stomping action.

oh and for those of you worried about being pwned due to the team with the power weapon having the uper hand.....something tells me that the engineers bots should be able to take out the Jetpack and Mech suits fairly well.....

Considering the fact that you've been stalking Aggi's posts, I'd say now would be the perfect time to take some of your own advice.

Damn it looks gritty, serious, dark, and awesome. But for me to want this for online over Black Ops or BC2 Vietnam is gonna be a stretch.
They need to fix the sloppy control scheme from the original, and lower player counts to 16 or 24. It was just too many people running around in the first game for me it seemed like a cluster F sometimes.

@phinn controls were fine....but they said they have changed them to better suit you CoD folks....
as for the room size....well that was on you....not ALL games has 32 players in them....I played in plenty with only 16 people...the choice was up to you...tho with my bots all over the place I did like to have more people for them to kill on the bigger maps.....

The Avatar mech suits are almost exact copies of the Matrix mech suits.

The first anime to feature military combat armors (not including very large suits like Gundams) that I can think of is the 1983 TV series Armored Trooper VOTOMS, from Sunrise. It has been released in the US, but as that was done by the now-gone Central Park Media, it may be hard to find these days. Good stuff, though. The director, Takahashi Ryosuke, created Gasaraki in 1998, which also featured combat armors.

Question. I usually don't play much online but have been giving it more playing time lately (any game). I haven't played a Killzone online and it seems like those in the trailer were pretty serious. I don't mind telling my teammates, "Hey there's 2 coming around the left side." But that would be in a relaxed way, not like the way in the trailer (they were fast/hyper talking/very serious like it was real life 00:08-00:12). I don't know, it's hard to describe in writing. I'm all for winning but is it really that "serious"?

@Kid Icarus lol, ok then. I mean if that's how it is, I can deal with it. I haven't given Socom much thought because I think it would be too "serious" for what I want out of it. When I play Resistance onine, there's no problem helping your team but everyone knows their place and it just works. I guess I prefer that and didn't know if Killzone was a game where you need to work as team/squad or else it falls apart.

Remember, it's only a trailer that was probably played by developers who are being serious for the presentation. It wouldn't look good if they were teabagging each other on screen.

I got Killzone 2 on launch day and played nothing but multiplayer. Every day for 3 weeks I watched as the matches got more intense each day as people increased their rank and unlocked special abilities.. The dynamics of each type of character is awesome.
Then everyone was all leveled up, and gameplay sucked. Maps were filled with nothing but cloaked snippers and heavy artillery. I would sit and watch as people Kamikaze into POI's that become temporary span points while grenades and rockets drones kill people over and over and over again. You think you would learn your lesson, the spawn point has been compromised, but nope. Medics became non-existent, and once the secondary ability was unlocked, no one was an engineer. I love squads and the fact that I dont have to listen to 10 random idiots over my headset, but they need to make some serious changes to multiplayer.

At which point you can fold and admit defeat because all you have is fable3 and halo reach, sucks if you only have a 360 to be honest.
