I'm quite excited about this. I was hoping that, with the announcement of Move support, that Zipper would add some more content to go along with it and get even more people playing. Sounds like that's exactly what they're doing.

This is good news, kids.

@ilduce620 I love MAG, but the wait times became unbearable and was the ONLY reason why I traded it in.

@The angry pro consumer gaming ga They can be rather long, I'll admit. Suppression matches load quickly for me, but if you do "Directives," you can definitely sit there for minutes waiting (but you get Double XP for doing so).

Again, however, the additional content should keep the game on people's radars, hopefully enticing people to try this worthy game.

I think it depends on you really. I LOVE playing Battlefield games online and while I like MAG, it just doesn't seem as FUN to me... I'd say just rent it out for a week and see how it is, then buy it if you like it.

@The MARIO
It's pretty weak. there are hardly enough players to fill the big game modes which are, ironically, the big selling points of the game (128/256 player games), so unless you like sitting in queues, you end playing Sabotage which is really just BFBC2's rush mode but with only two controls points and no vehicles.and no destructible environments and weaker graphics and fewer weapon types (but it does have more players woohoo).

The weapons/leveling suffers from a lot of "sameness" giving little incentive to level up (I bought it day one and *still* use the 1st level LMG as my main weapon).,

People who love it usually cite "teamwork" as the big feature but this only occurs if you play with a a squad of people you know, I've only seen it happen spontaneously with randoms on extremely rare occasions.

So, unless you have 256 friends who are all willing to make time and schedule a video game date, it sort of a turkey.

To their credit, Zipper has tried very hard to polish this turd but like the saying goes, that only gets you so far. It CLEARLY had a ton of potential but was boned by being released WAY before it was fleshed out. That's why they're essentially redoing the enitre game/beta thing that's being announced here.

I literally had this game sitting out to take to Gamestop this morning but given what they pay and some of the stuff above, I'll probably just hold onto it and ride it out to the bitter end. :)

These are some major proposed changes, which can only be described as great..

I know the new trend and the new complaint against the ps3 is bitch moan firmware updates bitch moan have to run patches.. Truth is both of these add functionality, both of these are done on all consoles this gen, but what was the last 360 game that allowed such major changes to occur to a game ?

This is exactly why a more open network like PSN is better.. Not only do we get developers daring to build 256 player online fps' but they roll out updates that make extensive modifications.. It also helps to know that all ps3s have a user replacable hard drive and can take these sort of updates without issue.

This is good news. This game just gets better and better with continued support and theres everone saying this game sucks as it isnt like MW2. That crashed days after launch and people are still able to hack their way into the leaderboards, dont know about that for MAG mind. This didnt and it takes more players per game. yes it still wasnt without its problems but what game isnt nowadays. It would be even better if the DLC was free. I wish all games had as much support as MAG, Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 have.

I haven't played MAG in a while, I kept telling myself I'd platinum it over the summer but I guess it's too late for that now! I really need to get back into this game, it's an absolute blast.

MAG was a good game, but traded it in about a month and a half after release. It just got too repetitive and imbalances ruined it.

If the upcoming beta doesn't require the original, might give it a spin.

Seems only fair we'd all get beta access since we paying customers had to pay for Alpha quality game.
