Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One coming to PS3 in Fall 2011
81
Insomniac has announced a new Ratchet & Clank game for the PlayStation 3. Yeah, we know you've heard that one before, but this time it's a four-player, online co-op platformer. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One features drop-in / drop-out play between four characters -- Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Dr. Nefarious -- and blatantly discourages space diplomacy by equipping everyone with absurd weaponry. Thankfully, that part of the franchise hasn't changed.
Look for Ratchet and Clank and those two other guys in stores during Fall 2011.
(Dibs on Qwark!)

"President Quark?"
"She was taking a memo!"
And finally, a co-op Ratchet game. But he name is kinda... unoriginal compared to the genius that was Up Your Arsenal. =D

Seconded. At least give us 2 player couch Co-op! C'mon, some of us like to throw random, slightly immature comments (and pizza slices) at each other while we play co-op.

I think Ratchet really appeals to other people in a house (roommates, girlfriends, kids, etc), it would be an absolutely shame for this not to have local co-op. It's the kind of game that people already see, and ask if they can play with you.

Don't forget Size Matters. Probably my favorite title of the bunch. Can't say the same for Deadlocked....
I also heard that Crack in Time was originally going to be called called Clock Blockers.
I would have called this one Foursome.

I'm going to be that kind/douchey/dumbass guy that takes your comment too seriously!
(all this is based on Canadian Law so your mileage may vary)
Trademarks are generally logos or names designed to separate your corporation from others, so I don't see how that would apply here. These an be registered, but have a degree of common law protection, and can be renewed for 15 year periods for ever.
Copyright law protects anything and everything you make thats even remotely artistic, or some form of expression, even without taking the time to register it (that just makes it easier to defend). This protection lasts the length of the last living author (if done by a group) plus 50 years before it transfers to the public domain. As such, Dumas' work was indeed protected by copyright law... or at least would have been if he hadn't gone and died in 1870.
At least no one mentioned patents, or intellectual property... then I'd be here wasting my time talking law for at least another minute or two :P

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
The PS3 in all of its HD glory has really been lacking full retail 4 player co-op games.
I wish Insomniac the best of luck with this one.

@Falcon Punch "Lacking in 4-player co-op," really? LittleBigPlanet2 is coming out this year.
But I, too, am pumped for more games to fuel the pizza/video-games parties with friends. We can't just play LBP and Rock Band all the time (although, with both games getting sequels this year, maybe it will hold us over until this once comes out).

This isn't a TRUE ratchet title, and co-op is fine but I was hoping to get a sequel to a Crack in Time with some COMPETITIVE multiplayer (I was addicted to R&C 3 online multiplayer on the PS2)
I pass this as a filler game, no bigge but it also means we won't see another TRUE ratchet title from the burbank studio for a long time most likely PS4.
I see them working on R3 now then the EA title another 2 years and after that who knows if they'll even want to come back to R&C.

At the rate they're going, what with 9 Ratchet & Clank games being released within less than 8 years, an essential role in an upcoming spin-off (Heroes on the Move), a just announced 10th game also coming out next year, and the fact the Sony does 10 year agreements for all their systems (Meaning PS3 will get support till 2016) I find it very likely that this will not be the last Ratchet & Clank game for the PS3. We will probably get one more PS3 game after this, than the Playstation 4 will come out and the PS3 will get handheld ports and HD collections.
